Well OB sometimes you need to go back and read again as the thread develops. The remark that got up my nose was "OK you've done your trolling now go away." I bet Gronin scuttled out of the room like a scalded cat not even pawsing to turn off his computer when he read that one. :D :D.

Happy dayz mate :D
What a long strange trip it is.

Dont fire it up Marco.

He wasn't being a troll he has an opinion, and it's one I share, that it's bad manners to go into someones house and tell them how to rearrange the furniture. It's simple, it's old fashioned and on ACD a minority view. Simples

I was being serious...not trying to fire anything. And yeah, I agree with that old fashioned view, which is why I am so loved here :D

Looks like it's going to be pure buy-and-fly which is a real shame, part of the attraction is sitting in a coffee shop having a smoke.

I get the feeling it will it be 1 in 1 out from that day onwards which does not appeal to me, I've been to enough clubs and busy bars

Agreed - almost feels like an attempt to drum up more coffeeshop business than reduce it by inducing 'last visit' syndrome. I would assume the affected shops will apply to sell alcohol & allow pot smoking on the premises - like T'Nes Cafe. Might not be as profitable for the owners but it could be viable & if the owners can apply to use their licence on new premises outside the 250m zones it could be a win-win situation. I generally buy & fly as the shops with the best buds are either out in the sticks or have no room to swing a cat. I much prefer some suds with my buds. Off to Dam on Friday :D (just in case :? )

Darn! HGF, Mellow Yellow and Little. Three of my favorites are soon to be gone. HGF is the only shop I know of that sells only organic bud. Like the man said....time to go back, again.

With what seems like endless changes, I'm going to sit on the fence post (i'm using a seat cushion... ) and wait until 1 January 2014 to see for myself which shops actually close. Remember the wiet pass? The enforcement went from federal, to provincial, and finally to local, where most have not banned foreigners.
A note, funny perhaps but in a non humorous tone, is that when I've walked around many of the shops ID'ed to be within 350 meters of a school, I'm unable to locate any of them. Kindergartens, lower elementary, high schools, and universities are notwithstanding as they aren't the focus, the middle schools are (if what i've read is correct). Maybe I ought to look when I'm not high or stoned...
If shops are closed, I hope that the cannabis community is able or willing to absorb the newly unemployed. One fact that shop owners need not overlook is that regular customers will follow staff to a new location, which could mean a bump in business.
Til the time comes when the bud tender declares the smoking lamp is extinguished, keep the flame lit.. and a joint, bong, and pipe as well... :)

As one of my Dutch friends told me (more than once): "In Holland the exceptions make the rules. Never forget this".

We shall see if the proximity rule becomes somehow elastic.

Smart money says if Rookies is affected, it simply becomes a smoker friendly bar. I for one have spent far more on beer in Rookies than soft drinks and cannabis combined. Same with 't Nes.
"Laif" with a long "a".

Its a shame this Law may not count in Holland http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/estoppel, it basically means that that you can't be told that you can no longer do what your doing, after it has been accepted what your doing for so long .
