He wasn't being a troll he has an opinion, and it's one I share, that it's bad manners to go into someones house and tell them how to rearrange the furniture. It's simple, it's old fashioned and on ACD a minority view. Simples

Agreed - almost feels like an attempt to drum up more coffeeshop business than reduce it by inducing 'last visit' syndrome. I would assume the affected shops will apply to sell alcohol & allow pot smoking on the premises - like T'Nes Cafe. Might not be as profitable for the owners but it could be viable & if the owners can apply to use their licence on new premises outside the 250m zones it could be a win-win situation. I generally buy & fly as the shops with the best buds are either out in the sticks or have no room to swing a cat. I much prefer some suds with my buds. As one of my Dutch friends told me (more than once): "In Holland the exceptions make the rules. Never forget this".Uncle Ron wrote:With what seems like endless changes, I'm going to sit on the fence post (i'm using a seat cushion...) and wait until 1 January 2014 to see for myself which shops actually close. Remember the wiet pass? The enforcement went from federal, to provincial, and finally to local, where most have not banned foreigners.
A note, funny perhaps but in a non humorous tone, is that when I've walked around many of the shops ID'ed to be within 350 meters of a school, I'm unable to locate any of them. Kindergartens, lower elementary, high schools, and universities are notwithstanding as they aren't the focus, the middle schools are (if what i've read is correct). Maybe I ought to look when I'm not high or stoned...
If shops are closed, I hope that the cannabis community is able or willing to absorb the newly unemployed. One fact that shop owners need not overlook is that regular customers will follow staff to a new location, which could mean a bump in business.
Til the time comes when the bud tender declares the smoking lamp is extinguished, keep the flame lit.. and a joint, bong, and pipe as well...![]()
