Coffeeshop Bong Etiquette?

Post by zootly »

In the few times I have been to Amsterdam, I've never actually used a bong... assuming it's not completely out of order to use a personal one in a coffeeshop (I'm not going anywhere near those 'share' ones lol), how does it work for getting rid of the water?

Obviously I'm not going to just tip it out in the street, but I don't want to carry around a bong full of stinky water all over the place.

Nothing wrong with a house bong, you just have to know which shops clean the glass regularly.

Yeh, fair enough but i'm probably too lazy to research that :). For me I'd rather just pick up a small cheap bong from somewhere and leave it when i go - last time I went I was pretty surprised at the prices in the shops around barneys / greenhouse, didn't seem too outrageous (although I'm sure there are probably cheaper places off the beaten track).

@matty thanks for the advice, and yeh I'm just gonna use something small... just enough to take some heat off the smoke, joints give me a sore throat pretty fast.

A couple of shops that come to mind are 420/De Kuil and 1e Hulp. And there is usually one available at 't Nes if you like to drink with your smoke.

Don't see anything wrong with using the house bongs. For me one of the joys of going to Amsterdam is getting to use quality RooR that I can't use at home. Utopia and HGF are usually my favourite coffeeshops bong wise.
