Oi, you looking for a fight?
Warning - the following contains some severe taking of the piss.... you've been warned. Luv ya Matt...
Sure, if everyone did as you and only stayed withing the Grachtengordel, nay, ventured no further than 500 meters outside the RLD, we wouldn't need a fookin' map.
With over 200 shops in the greater Amsterdam area, do you know the location of every shop? If so, care to make some money as a guide? No, then SHADDAP ya stiff stoner.
Now then, where did I put that fookin' map?
...
Taking the piss, one stiff stoner at a time, perhaps two on a sunny day...

I thought this thread was about the coffeeshop of that name. But yes I do get lost often still in Amsterdam after such a long time. I once knew it very well and then didn't go there for about 15 years, during which time a great change had come over the place and the docks that I knew had moved down the Ij, some of the canals were being and had been filled in and it had become a major (premier league) tourist destination. What I do get wandering around now is a lot of dejavue, which is nice

Oh well...
Sounds like you might be ready for Channels....
Channels mate, its not my cup of tea but it's just a different bar with a different vibe, I guess some folks enjoy a bit of in yer face stuff more than others :D :D 8). Its a lot of the same conversations as are had here, and I guess it can, also like ACD ocassionally, be a touch off putting to some new comers if they get jumped on by over excited stoned people when they are percieved to have said the wrong thing  .
Also when forums get too insular and matey that also can deter new members, who are very important to the life of ACD. So, barring a few rants along the way I think people enjoy coming here, blah, blah, etc. etc.

As a man i rely on my 'man-dar' alot of the time and as long as you dont panic, the weed gods will help you on the way to your destination.

Been dam twice now and minus a map made it to voyagers (1st time there), then onto paradox (1st time there), 1e Hulp (1st time there) and onto the house of bols using only my 'man-dar'!!

If your female and have no map then you are pretty doomed because the 'lady-dar-dar' has countless faults :P

An advice for late night tours outside Matty's area  is to look for the Okura Hotel. It will point you the right direction.

When I am stoned, the last thing I need to try to figure out is a map! I sometimes don't find the places I am looking for, but find interesting places I haven't been too.

I think I have a built in sat nav so it's a rarity to get lost in Amsterdam, I seem to be tour guide these days, it's cool though I know the best coffeshops so we avoid the tourist traps, usually!!
I like bananas, monkey nuts and grapes. That's why they call me Sam of the apes
