Generally speaking exactly the opposite here. Sativas make me drift off into my world somewhat which opens the door to paranoia due to my over active imagination.PecosTheCat wrote:Probably the best thing to do for the light-weight or anxiety prone would be to buy a cheap pipe and then smoke whatever you get one hit at a time in order to titrate the dose to where you feel comfortable.
I'm a bit the opposite of a lot of people. I don't seem to get paranoid or anxious from Sativas generally speaking. However, I do get that feeling from time to time from some indica strains. For some reason, a good batch of vanilla kush can have that effect on me, although it was normally very short lived - happened to me on 2 different trips. strange.
Have you come onto a coffeeshop and cannabis appreciation site to get us to talk you OUT of smoking?gronin wrote:treetop wrote: Maybe it is paranoia but I get the feeling you may be a troll![]()
Just kiddingor am I
don't be paranoid.

Nice work with the red text post dissection. Bit of a give away though.
In two pages about cannabis and paranoia, not one person even hinted at maybe.. just maybe..not smoking it? Seemed a glaring omission to me.

These are all totally acceptable, you will also find yourself people watching so expect people to also people watch, there seems to be a lot of staring in coffeeshops this is a sign of a good coffeeshop selling quality weed.

With indicas I get a lot more warm and happy but things like speaking and moving become more difficult.
I am the same way Pecos...indicas are where i find anxiety and the ofd paranoia attack...sativas are sublime and dont give me bad trips....but i alos smoke indica 98% at home and only get the sativas in Dam...so it could likely be the change of head high.PecosTheCat wrote: I'm a bit the opposite of a lot of people. Thanks a lot for tip!!I'm saving this!!skeeta wrote:treetop wrote:Try Chocolope. It never seems to have an effect on anyone. You should be safe with that.![]()
However Chocolope remains a popular amsterdam strain for a reason. It is nice and mellow effect.
I'd go for this one.
I'd also steer away from pure sativas. I like getting very high but only when in a safe environment when I'm with stimulating company. Great mind expanding possibilities.
However with the good comes bad sometimes when the mind is expanded so I'd stick to getting stoned instead for now then start to experiment with indica dominant strains like 90/10 or 80/20 in favor of the indica. Like these combinations cos they stir up the mind a little but wrap it in cotton wool first![]()
Stoned is safer and more fun in a big, new place IMHO. I really like exploring while stoned. When I'm too high I get a bit skittish and jumpy.Totally understand your concerns about staying in a safe place mentally. Very important consideration.
Achievable with a little planning. Again IMHO.
+1
Cops aren't the main promblem...The main problem is into my head unfortunally! And as someone said I think that's bettere the term anxiety than paranoia...RvanSteensel wrote:how the hell can u go para in a place where cops dont do shit to you
Sailor59 wrote:I have had bad paranoia/anxiety once or twice in the Dam. Both times it was a combination of being solo, not knowing the Dam very well and sativas. It has been said before but you really need to be comfortable with your surroundings and feel safe. If you feel like that, go and buy an Indica/Hybrid, fly back to the hotel, put the TV on and get high.
I found it is all in the mind and by knowing your surroundings better and feeling comfortable the anxiety will go away.
