I agree with your opinion about the market, as long as I'm growing my own and don't have to pay the horrendous markup, I'm good.
The math is quite simple, and recognizing the fleecing is even more so, at least for me. So what are we paying for? Convenience = Laziness (all things considered)

Reminds me of when I was stationed in Washington, DC, having lunch at a "posh" restaurant.
We decided to sit at the bar for lunch, and during our conversation, the bartender reached up high and took down a bottle of Louis XIII Cognac. He poured two shots, exchanged them with a gentleman for what I assume was a credit card. When I saw the total for 2 (TWO) shots, I knew I was in a PF hangout - $250 PER SHOT!!!

Food for thought - the cost of buying one shot (1 fluid ounce) of Kleaphead Hash is EUR 2,957.40/$3,815.04. The dry weight of one fluid ounce is 29.574 grams.
As I've been saying for years, fleecing of stoners, and the only people to blame are the stoners themselves. Always their own worst enemy. Such a shame, and a sham as well.
For those on the fence post, meaning that have not decided one way or the other of what to make of these prices, lemme give you a little nudge - regardless of the noise from the puff-puff-pass crowd, these prices DO affect ALL OF US, right now. Look at the pricing trend for cold water extracted trichome, aka bubble hash, aka Ice, aka aka aka... A few years ago most was under 30 per gram. Now have a look at the menus - 40, 50, 60, + ...
Those who keep buying at these prices do more harm than good. But to each their own...

I agree 100%, not just for extract prices but other canna-industry costs, ie. the exorbitant cost of entry to the 420 events in Denver. I welcome canna-capitalism, but I refuse to pay these costs. Maybe I'm not truly a capitalist after all

I suppose I add insult to injury when purchasing ready made nutrients for 60-100 Euros for one crop. I could spend as much as 400 from a uber-hyped brand, no way.
