How was it?

This reminds me of an old joke. A man is talking to a friend....

Man 1 - 'I took my wife to the Caribbean for 4/20 this year.

Friend - 'Jamaica?'

Man 1 - 'No. She went of her own accord.'

Hope you guys had a blast down there.

Coming Wednesday or Thursday

I've spent lots of time in the Negril area. One of my favorite places in the world. Vacations for the past few years have alternated between there and Amsterdam.

Have you done any of the adults only all inclusive in Negril and 7 mile beach? Need to try and get to a farm this year. You're doing it right....Jamaica and Amsterdam are basically the only place I go with the Mrs now. theyre both so addictive

I've stayed at the adults-only Jewel resort (in Ocho Rios) and spent a couple nights at the Riu in Negril, which is not adults-only.

The majority of my trips to Negril have been to smaller hotels, both on the beach and the cliffs. Not a big fan of staying at the all-inclusive complexes anymore.

Word on the street in Negril is there is some gang activity going on. Advice is to stay off the beach after dark, and to take a taxi if you're going anywhere at night.

Check out negril.com, lots of excellent info there, especially in the forums. Not a lot of weed chatter though... they use the slang "subs" to refer to joints.

There are some very good edibles around. Check out Connies Country Western pub and have a piece of cake. There's also a place up on the cliffs, Wake and Bake Cafe / Canjam (and they have hotel rooms but no A/C so I'm not interested) and they had a cookie that had me feeling good all day. Much stronger than those in Amsterdam.
