Sort of a birthday trip (week before) and loads of my fuckwit friends are jerking me around as per usual. Booked flights but waiting closer to the time to get accommodation sorted. Probably will be the old faithful Old Quarter again as they always look after me and recognise me but was looking to stay elsewhere (hopefully an apartment but most 1 person apartments are too expensive for this tight fuck!). If anyone can recommend a single room you can blaze in and is cheap crack on. See you soon

Flights now booked for mentioned dates at 40 fuckin pound dearer than last week (serves my right for dawdling). Ah well its a lot cheaper than it was 2 years ago (£110 cheaper actually). On a brighter note, found a little gem of an apartment

Works out cheaper than 3 nights in a single at the Old Quarter, looks as if its near Anyday/Spui/Singel area and I've been busting to get an apartment last few visits as I always end up eating loads of shit when I could cook my own from the supermarket at a lot less expense - leaving my cash for blazing. Anyone got any experience with this particular apartment? I've kinda assumed that its either on the alley from Nieuwezijds Voorburgwal leading to Anyday or the alley from Spuistraat to the Singel across the road from Anyday with all the hookers that are frankly getting a bit on down there? Any info will be appreciated

Hope you enjoy it. According to what it says, you're sharing the place with the guy who lives there, which personally I wouldn't like. If you look at the reviews for that sort of thing, it seems to depend whether you get on with them as to how enjoyable your stay is. I always think, it could be fantastic, or it could turn your trip into a nightmare – why take the chance? But you're probably more sociable than I am, and it'll be great.

You have the potential for a great stay, unless roommate turns out to be a not nice person I wasn't sure how my slang would translate

Looks like the plan is on, paying for the apartment early next week when I got enough skrilla. Been messaging the apartment owner and apparently the rooms are private but the kitchen and bathrooms are shared. Its number 56 on Spuistraat too which is across the road from Abraxas 2 according to StreetView, banging location: few mins walk from Anyday + Utopia AND I'm sure I'll finally get to the Dampkring 1 and Tweede Kamer, which I always told myself I'll to go but just never made it (ala Paradox - which Gapie hooked me up to last trip in December, nice one bruv ). So it looks like its on - 4 weeks tomorrow and I'll be jetting off from (hopefully) sunny Cardiff at 6am and getting to sunny (hopefully!) Central Station at 9am, drop off my luggage at the apartment then probs hit Utopia first to get my arse kicked as the first biff always does to me . I would set up a t+t but I'm a funny bastard bout things like that and dont wanna tempt fate . Fly back out late on Monday June 3rd so I'm looking at 4 days + 3 nights of carnage - Amsterdam, I'll be seeing you very fuckin' soon
