Thanks dude, glad you're liking the vids 8) I've been doing videos on and off for around 15 years, since the VCR days which makes me feel old

The Ascent does actually give good hits. I like thick/strong vapor, and I got the best results by turning the Ascent up to the highest temperature setting. This gives strong vapor, good flavor, cough-inducing clouds :) On the first inhale you get a nice thick hit with amazing flavor. Maybe the video doesn't show the vapor properly, but the Ascent absolutely does produce thick, dense vapor. Its is pretty even with the Solo in terms of cloud production. Personally I'd still have trouble choosing between the Solo and the Ascent, they are pretty equal!

ya... love them (I'm a whiz with photoshop - not video)... wanna make some videos for me? LOL :-)

biggest thing i noticed with the solo recently....

i wasn't getting a lotta vapor (I usually start it on 5).... think my smoke needed to be cured better.

did a ghetto quick 'dry'.... and boom more vapes and more effects.

the hits from a vape thru a bubbler must be suppper clean eh?

The Arizer Solo, not the most stealthy vape considering it's size and the smell it produces but in terms of vape quality it's top notch, it's like a portable Da Buddha Vape.

I tried Treetops' one at the TnT last month and it did the trick so am thinking of getting one for Bank Holiday Weekend...

Halleluljah :D just got a proper vape on the go again :D :D :D
I've been using Iolites since they first came out and I personally really rate them, my last one a Wispr (made by and the same mechanics as the originals) gave up the ghost a month or so back so as it was still in warranty (2 years) I sent it back to the makers and have just received a replacement. This is the Wispr V 2. The main difference is the running temperature which is set at 210 degrees now compared to 190 on previous models and it heats much faster, about 30 seconds. It makes for a bigger turbo hit with clouds of vapor, but it's also hotter and a bit harsher, it bakes the herb pretty quickly but doesn't (quite?) combust it .

Def a good gadget :D :D.
What a long strange trip it is.

Anyone here tried The Hammer vaporizer?

I'm looking at getting something for 100Euros. Tried the MFLB, not happy with all the battery action. Tried the Lupan, too small a chamber = weak hits. Was considering stretching to a Wispr 2, but nervous about reliability.

Heard good things elsewhere about the Hammer, seriously thinking about picking one up this week!

Yes the Solo is great but cost is a factor for me and with that 200 euro price tag I can buy 2 Hammers or 1 and a half Wisprs!

The good people at Azarius, Amsterdam let me sit with both the Hammer and the Wispr 2, and try them both out, head to head.

Now I was open to the new Wispr, I owned an Iolite when they first came out and it amazingly lasted for 2 and a half years, so I'm no stranger to this style of vape with it's butane and the 'hiss', but I have to say the Hammer destroyed the Wispr.

I had read most of the thread on Fuck Combustion about this device, but I was still shocked at the quality and power of the hits from a very small amount of herb. In fact, I almost didn't recognize the subtle flavours I was getting from my homegrown and that's after 5 months of vaping it in my Da Buddha home unit!

In comparison the Wispr hits seemed a little too hot and toasted. I liked the retro transistor look but not the wobbly willie silicon mouth piece. The Hammer has a slightly aggressive toolbox look but it bursts into life and simply nails you. There are different heat settings and water pipe add ons to explore and I suspect it's going to be a lot of fun to use!

Momentarily forgetting my PIN number as I was trying to buy it, confirmed my suspicions that this unit is ass-kicking.

its $150 US. give or take.

but when the thing just works non stop without any issues.... and the others break etc.

its worth it long run.

plus you save so much $$ on the smoke... so it all balances out in the end :)

I think this one http://www.dutch-headshop.com/en/flashv ... -1002.html is nice, but lesser known than the magic flight launch box or the da kube vaporizer. especially with the stage-2 kit and the adorable mini-bubbler. The FlashVape heats ultra quick and therefore you can take single puffs with one single bowl from time to time.

so can anyone Help me Please. i need a vape pen i can take with me to barcalona and amsterdam. after buying a cheap g pen and pushing it abit (ok alot) broke the bugger in no time. so what im looking for..
a pen that does both weed and extracts.
reliable, i will be using it alot.
half decent battery or spare one that dont cost a fortune.
not to look like a crack pipe (the more discrete the better)
and to actually vape. not looking for 100% vape but if i can stay away from combusting or charring weed to f_ck that would be amazing..

ive got a solo for home, but i dont want to spend over £70 if i can just incase. (dont want MFLB again) the pinnicle pro seems it but too pricey. ive checked the kalumet Electronic Pipe Lupan its sorta right price range, but i cant find no reviews and the fact in the title it calls itself and electronic pipe worries me. also wouldnt mind getting another cheap vape pen i know they combust but i liked it for going out. so all its got to do is weed, combusting ok (less the better) but key would be reliability cause ill use it alot & it needs to get me high.. so any ago 5, atmos raw, and multiple other vape pen users out there can you help me..

Stuart1976, I'm also waiting to read some reviews of the Lupan or try one myself. Looks good on paper but I'm also afraid it'll be yet another e-pipe and not a true vaporizer. I'll be testing the Pinnacle out this June so can let you know my opinion in a month.

If the Grasshopper pen lives up to its promises, it could be the one. But the makers have gone quiet last time I checked in so I dunno if they've cancelled the project or gave up.

Theres not much else on the market I can recommend at the moment. What you're looking for is the "holy grail" of vaporizers. Many manufacturers have tried, but nobody has quite gotten there. Battery technology is the main problem. To make a good pen vaporizer that is small, long lasting, and hits hard - You would need a battery that is very small, very high output AND very high capacity. That doesn't exist on the market yet.

If Arizer could shrink the Solo performance and battery life down to pen-vape size, they would put everyone else out of business. But that kind of technology is a good 5 years off IMO.

If you're willing to mess around with a torch lighter, there is always there Lotus (either handheld or GonG version), and the Gnome (same deal, handheld or GonG available). Apparantly the flavor of the Gnome is unmatched. I haven't tried either of these, but I have experience other torch-lighter vapes (VapoStar, Vaponic). They have a learning curve and you'll burn the weed a few times before you get it right. But once you do, they work damn well, amazing flavour and cloudy hits. The Gnome being pure glass is also possible to sterilise/clean 100% for travel. Look into them if you don't mind doing the torch lighter thing.
