I've just ordered a Flowermate Vapormax V Portable Vaporizer.
I've hear good reviews about this vaporizer and it's supposed to be pure vape no combustion.

Well, whatever it is that arizer has done to the solo has worked. I haven't been so high for a long long time. My eyes looked like I'd been swimming in a pool of pure chlorine after my second bowl.
I'm usually Ok with being high in public but there's no way I was leaving the comfort of my sofa after that session.
If your on the fence about getting a solo just do it! You will not be disappointed.

sensismiler - hmmm.... now i'm interested in finding out wtf is different.
the stem gets loose if you use it 1-2 bowls in a row.... it was tight as hell when i first got it.
mines a year old.
i get massive clouds from it.
usually leave it on setting 5
6 or 7 burns too much and if you just use battery it eats the juice faster too.
5 works best for me.

Yeah you can get them dirt cheap in the US. They cost £140 here! Even more in the other parts of Europe as you know!
Yeah the bowl is crazy tight when new but as you say it loosens up with use. My new one is really tight fitting but the draw was not too restricted which just goes to show that whatever they've done to the airflow is effective. I wonder what it'll be like once it's broken in? Looking forward to finding out!
I start on 4 and then bump up to 6. I agree that starting on 6 is far too hot, but once you' e had 10 mins on level 4 it's not so bad. I do cough real bad at 6 though, but Ive always been a cougher, smoke or vapour.
I haven't checked the water pieces but I assume you mean the f-bomb? Never tried vapour through water but I bet it's tasty. When Im feeling flush I might treat myself!
Man I can't wait to finish work...

the stems can get lose after a bit i have one stem that falls out when its hot on setting 5. got a free o ring with the pipe adapter then its way to tight with not enough airflow o ring is perfect for the stem i have with the toke hole on it. i prefer the normal stems even if a little bit loose i get so mashed up. got the f bong pipe i like it but hardly ever use it as its so gentle on lungs when toking so you toke longer then when you breath out its a massive shit storm of coughing, im a little bit scared to use.. looking back a small bong with option to change to a small nail hit bong would of been better saw a lovely one on fuck combustion for about £40 which allowed to use it 3 ways(solo/bong/nails) instead of just one +plus if solo breaks its pointless unless i get another one

Not exactly a vape but the vapour globe attachment for 510 battery works wonders....
Mate gave me a base pen with the attachment and the attachment fitted on my normal nicotine vape pen. Bit like smoking a pipe. Not very under cover as it looks like you're smoking an electronic crack pipe!!!

You are right on about this thing working wonders & looking like a crack pipe

but the fact that it works wonders trumps the look

!
There are several different kind out there though so I thought I might go into a brief outline of the ones I have tried so far...
I believe this is the Globe you are talking about;
You can get them on eBay for about $4 each.
These are $5 each but they come with 2 extra coils.
Notice the ceramic coil that has a slit on either side? That is a problem if you are smoking Q as opposed to Wax as it tends to bubble up a bit when heated and can begin to ooze out those slits which is kind of a bummer, so I would suggest opting for the ones
with a steel coil for $6 each.
Another option is the Seego series...this is the Vhit-C;
It has a steel coil and comes with 2 extra plus a little dab tool all for about $10.
If you want to be a bit more stealthy you can try their Vhit-B;
It's pretty much the same thing as a C-Series without the bubble.
They cost about $11.
It should be noted that both the Vhit-B & C come with "chimney's" that go on top of the bowl but I found them to be obtrusive and unnecessary.
This is the Seego Vhit-Glacier;
I really didn't like this device but it was supposed to be the best thing since sliced bread so maybe it's better than I thought. The problem again is when smoking Q and the bubble effect once heated up. It bubbles up into this little disc and clogs everything all to hell fairly quickly.
They are about $9 and come with 2 extra coils plus the dab tool as all Seego products do.
This was my first device from Clouper called the Cloutank M3;
As you can see I have it all loaded up with some Q (on top of the battery) then there's a beauty ring and this little tamper thing because this device is devised for both dry herb or heavy oil/wax. It's really good but has a small bowl and again once the Q bubbles up it hits the disc where it kind of clogs up a bit. I drilled out the disc so more vapor could flow but it still needs to be cleaned fairly often. You'll notice that I don't have the glass piece as I knocked it over the first week and that little sucker broke into a thousand little pieces. It's really not necessary though and I see myself cracking the Seego glass down the line as well.
They are about $10 and come with 2 coils for dry herb, 1 coil for wax/heavy oil and a little cleaning tool, extra coils for wax/heavy oil can be found easily enough.
Vape on folks!

I just wanted to add that none of those are my auctions, I just found them with a quick search.
I also have nothing to do with
Seego, I just have a buddy who runs a vape shop and he gave me those to try out.

Downsides are it leaks smell, cooks the herb a little too quickly and is a bit fiddly to load. Was a toss up between this and the Solo. I might just get one of them too...
Another good bit of kit

very tasty hits if a little ( & I'm being picky here

) hot at the higher temps , def works though

The Flowermate impressed me quite a bit, especially for the price. I gave it 4 weeks of daily abuse in Amsterdam and I give it a thumbs up.
Even Gapie liked it and he's pretty hard to impress
The unit I tried was an early version, a pre-release model sent out to retailers for testing. So it didn't have the glass mouthpiece or the temp settings. But it was still really good. The most surprising thing is the performance is easily comparable with 200 euro models eg. Ascent, Solo, and in certain aspects its even better (eg. battery life, size/stealth)
The main thing I liked about the Flowermate is that it just delivers good strong vapor, quickly and easily. I like vaporizers that just do their job without getting in the way. There is no learning curve, no special techniques or tricks needed. Its more consistent than most other portables I've used. It just "works" every time without any fuss or nonsense. You can hand it to a complete beginner and they'll get good hits off the bat, no tutorials needed.
I found theres no need to grind with the Flowermate, you can just rip off nugs and pack them down into the bowl. It still does full and EVEN extraction whether ground or not. At the end the weed is 100% chocolate brown all the way through. No need to stir to get even extraction, it cooks evenly all the way through.
Battery life is also very good, we had trouble killing the battery over a 2 hour session with multiple people. We must have run at least 10-15 bowls through it before the battery gave out. The bowl size is also quite big, I guess you can fit 0.3-0.5 grams in there.
Would be an ideal first vaporizer for someone wanting to test the waters.
Only bad things I can say about the Flowermate:
- The rubber mouthpiece is a pain to clean, and got pretty gunked up after 4 weeks of heavy use. But the new glass mouthpiece should be much easier to keep clean, just toss it in a jar of ISO.
- Airflow is not the best, but this applies to 95% of portable vapes
- Would be cool if it was USB-chargable
- No concentrate adapter (yet)
- No GonG adapter (yet)

I'm curious about the Arizer Air too, finally the long-awaited "Solo 2.0"!!
Early reports say the airflow is improved, which was the main niggle I had with the Solo.
All the aftermarket Solo stems/GonG adapters etc. are compatible with the new model! Smart move Arizer
Battery life is reduced from the Solo, but the batteries are replaceable. At LAST! A solution for all-day coffeeshop crawls.
I won't get to try one until next year sometime, but will give my opinion when I do test this thing out.
