Dam end of may got a few questions

Post by thetourist »

I'd like to spend a week in dam in the end of may. It'll be my 3rd trip. 1st one was discovery trip last augut was great, 2nd one was in january and it was a trip to forget; waay too cold.Got everything ready financial wise for this next trip I just got some questions;
1- how likely is it that the weed pass will actually be enforced in dam by next may? (sorry if this get asked a lot I know about the coffeeshop map and I check it every week :p )
2- need a decent hotel; last two times I've stayed in Rambrandt classic and Ibis, both are expensivish and kinda away from the action; ideally I'd want something close to the RLD,train station etc . Also I'm planning to staying at least 5 days and i'll be with a friend so we need a twin bed room ideally with ensuite shower and toilet.
3- the party scene? I mean clubs, music bars ... firt time I went there was enthralled by the weed so didn't give it much thought and 2nd time was waay too cold :p . anyone's got any suggestions?

You are safe from the weed pass I can assure you that, north holland will not do this

Welcome to the forum.

What dates will you be in Amsterdam?
I'll post you on the Whos In Town page.
You can see who else may be in town and any Toke & Talks that are planned.

Enjoy

its worth trying to see if you can change those dates a little for 420 week. would be a trip you would never forget

Do yourself a favour and book an apartment if you can spare the few extra shekels. I got a nice place right in the center for 60 eur a night. I got a two floor apartment, double bed, tv, bath, cooker, bike the works!

Try Wimdu or AirBnB

thanks for all the suggestions,

I'm going to be booking as soon as I get my exam schedule.
I'd love to spend a whole week(6nights) in dam but it seems to be slowly getting too expensive.
I've got a budget of 1000 euros more or less. 200 for tickets, 400 for accomodation and the rest for fun.
