When I was growing only 9 plants back in California, I HAD to spray my plants (don't think that *spray* means deadly chemicals) there are things called spidermites, white flys, and plenty of other bugs that want yo buds! I was growing in a brandnew house, and before I would enter the room I'd always put on some new clothes just to make sure I don't bring crap in there, but still those bastard mites..
P.S. I got rid of them and ended up with some decent powerplant and dankenstien kush, my one 1000 watt light was just not enough for the big buds!!!

The statement about the status of weed in London I consider very generalized, a "figure of speech" when speaking for all of London.
I'm not from London, but I know a couple of peeps who would hook me up with gear that's alright.
From what they've told me, ya gotta know somebody to score any descent gear cause the shit on the street is just that, shit. Soap Bar anyone, Chav style?
Now, some in the greater London area are no doubt getting good gear, but from my peeps mentioned above, these stoners are an exception.

That's old school... these twats/chavs use hair spray; others mix some type of crystal with some type of bonding agent, then spray/dip/brush, etc...
... and some have put fine sand in a baggy, add bud, and shake.
I've yet to see any of this in Amsterdam, but there have been a report or three saying this shit was being sold in a coffee shop. We never were told who the offending shop(s) is, nor pics of the contaminated/adulterated gear in question. As Ronnie Reagan put it - trust but verify; if we can't do the latter, the former ain't happening anytime soon.

First of all let me say that last night was not a great time for me (for personal reasons) and I admit my initial responses were a bit curt and could have been put more respectfully. Swizzy, I am sorry that i did not engage you and reply in a more reasoned way. I'm sure you're not a bad guy (despite the names you've called me) and hell, given our shared love of the herb, we obviously have a lot in common. I'm really not interested in creating enemies, nor do I hold grudges and hey, when Ron tells ya to take a chill puff, ya take a chill puff. I'm totally compliant with getting back on friendly stoner terms again, rather than those more commonly associated with drunks.

However, I do think this needs to be cleared up. I took exception to you saying you spoke for the whole of London, when clearly you don't. Why are you so concerned with insisting that its not possible that someone else could get good weed in London? I cannot 'prove' to you that I can get good weed any more than you can 'prove' the polemic that there is no good weed in London. As UR says, its who you know and if ya do, happy days.

Just wondering your thoughts on this? I was thinking of chilling out a couple of weeks before my trip to just get really high when I'm in town but I have been getting really high here at home and have been getting paranoid

So I dunno if it would be a good idea to be paranoid in the dam. I have consistently (Only recently) been getting lesser quality than I used to get from everyone I know. So stuff I would snub my nose at six months ago now get me pretty high, for the same price

So I wanna stop a lil bit before I go to Mokum but don't wanna be to high

I smoke the same pretty much before or after any trip to Mokum depending on what is around where I am.
Right now my tolerance will be higher than usual cos of all the whadayacallit I've been melting recently.

Still Amsterdam weed and hash hits me very hard in any case.

You know I have thought about this before and always plan to stop smoking for a couple weeks before my trip. I never do though, I actually usually toke a little more to calm nerves before the trip. It's hard when your herbs aren't costing money then you have less motivation to stop.
I will say on the topic of paranoia I have only gotten paranoid noticeably in one shop one time. In 1998 I was lost and wandered into a small shop way on the outside of town alone and there were about six or seven different Moroccan men smoking hash. I purchased some NL and black hash and BT was friendly enough so I went to sit down and skin up, smoked about 3/4 of a fat herb/hash cone. The whole time the men are talking and I of course cant understand a thing they are saying except every once in awhile the say "Americano" or something similar and kinda nod towards me and it was all down hill from there lost my Walkman that day and everything lol......
They were probably just saying "Whats an American doing way out here?" or something else harmless.
I experience similar situations now a lot of times on dam trips but now I just chill and smoke up.
