Hi all,
Have just got back from Amsterdam after an all too short stay of 3 days. The last time i was in this glorious city was in 1996 with the husb so it has seriously been too long. I had the pleasure of coming to A with my my lovely friend Lis who has never been before so it was all new to her. In all honesty things do not seem to have changed much at all (thank goodness) and being there brought back loads of memories of the numerous visits me and the husb did in our long lost youth. I would say the vibe is different in the clubs however. Last time we were there it was majorlly E focused (double bliss). It just isn't now but that's okay (been there, done it, too old now!!). I tried to find a particular favourite coffeeshop in the Pijp area called the Katsu where me and the husb spent 2 hours after smoking some ridiculously strong Northern Lights that basically bombed us. The Katsu is listed in the latest Lonely Planet guide so our first night in A was spent searching for the damn place to no avail. We didn't even have the excuse of being wasted! Anyway, does anyone know if the Katsu still exists as i am determined to come back to A with the husb during half term to find the bloody place. (oops, just revealed i'm in teaching profession, however art teachers so that's ok). Any info much appreciated.
