First trip to Amsterdam

Post by BeastMilk »

From August the 28th till 2nd of September me and my friends will arrive to Amsterdam. :)
First night we will stay in Golden Tulip Amsterdam West for 50 euro a night. Not bad for a four star hotel! :) The rest of the time we will stay in the getaway apartment for 38 euro per night.
Utopia and Voyager coffeeshops are a must to visit, so maybe we will see some of you guys there. :)
I quickly browsed the hotel forum,but.. Any experience about Golden Tulip hotel?

Bit of a cack location. You are a 10 minute walk or a few minutes on the 64 bus to Sloterdijk station then five minutes or so into Centraal. There are a few coffeshops on Jan van Galenstraat, four stops south on the #12 tram.

Enjoy.

Yup,I know the location of the hotel is not the best but as someone already booked the 28th day in the getaway apartment, we had to look for a one day hotel night..
Thanks anyway for the coffeeshops you mentioned.Couldn't find though much information about them - except Loft, wich sounded like worth visiting.
Any good coffeeshops nearby the apartment?

A couple of minutes walk north and there is Basjoe, the same south and there is Bushdoctor. You are only five minutes from Nieumarkt and the shops there. Pretty much close to everything.

haven't been for ages but unless it's massively changed , well worth a visit

& if your interested i'd also advise you turn right out of Loft & walk along to Erasmus Park which will be ahead on your left
enjoy your trip
Sending out the good vibes to those that need them right now :-)
