Voyagers, infact I don't think of Amsterdam just voyagers, the tenders, the atmosphere, the weed, the people watching, location, that feeling of home, and the fact I don't have to question if my bud is weighed right. They will happily recommend something from other shops if they know its good, voyagers is Amsterdam for me.

Because it's not necessarily my favorite shop, just one that's imprinted on my unmedicated, just-arrived, Yankee ass. I prefer to spend time and money in Utopia or de Graal.

It is how Amsterdam should be but Amsterdam is just not as good as Voyagers. Sorry.

1E hulp! our first stop on every trip! not only because its 50m from our houseboat but also for quality of buds/hash, general vibe and all round very good service! not to mention cheap glass bongs and pipes! vaporiser! not long till the 18th now!!

FOR ME 1e Hulp is the first I think of. I realize I am blinded by my fanboi like love for Rizla and crew. Always treat me like a friend and go out of their way to make sure im enjoying myself.
This shop has ALWAYS provided me with gear worth the asking price in terms of weed and hash. Every trip towards or at the top of personal favorite products so for me its tradition by quality.
I dig the décor & ambience within these walls. The location is just far enough out to keep the weekend warriors away but does seem to be busier and busier each year.

First stop used to be across the street at Funky Munkey, which is now 2nd stop but still have fanboi esque love for FM as well. FM has always house us with class, friendship, and respect.

Also for some reason I have this not so secret love for amnesia and lately she seems to be the best example I see during the first round of purchases which I gobble up. Maybe trial by fire because my first trip skinned a Blue Cheese and Hash joint which proved to be not the wisest of choices.

De Kuil/420 Cafe. One of the first great cs's I ever visited. I always have great conversations there with strangers from all over the world as I sit close to the big picture window and drool over the munchies across the straat. Oh, and they play real rock 'n roll music there. Jimi, Zappa, Zeppelin, Cream, The Beatles and Stones, etc. + quality weed + friendly service = Bliss

Barney's why? long story..short.. when i looked up Coffeshop in my travel book (before going the first time) the first shop they talked about was Barney's Bar Brasserie < back then! My first shop was Rokerij Leidsedwarsstraat wasnt what we was expecting ...I forgot the quetion !!

There are a few coffeeshops / bud tenders that have this refreshing attitude but they are definitely the minority.

Last time we was in Voyagers the lady at the bar was very enthusiastic about Grey Area and openly stated that they regularly had the best products in town. A few places would look down on praising other shops but I think real smokers appreciate the honesty.

Just to add that on our last visit 2 CS couldn't speak highly enough of Club Media. Both suggested that there are a few CS in the center that are really trying to get "in" with their growers. So if anyone had read about Club Media and was still wondering whether it's worth the trip down...
