hey what a great forum everyone! im glad i stumbled upon this.
I have been to amsterdam before and i am going back FEb 12-19 and staying at the Sofitel Demeure Grand Amsterdam. It is located close to dam square. has anyone stayed there? or have any tips of good shops close by?
i was just wondering how far either barneys or hunters is from dam square, and if possible, what are they close to?? like what coffeeshop are they closest to, that is on coffeeshop direct map.
im going with my girlfriend who really doesnt smoke to much. but she likes to drink. and i smoke over an ounce a week, so im a pretty heavy smoker. does anyone recomend a place where i can get some good chron, and also a nice pint.
Thanks in advance

Hunters is spot 6 on the

Welkom!
This map will do you wonders. Not that there is anything wrong with the ACD Map.
Barney's Lounge is just South of The Bushdocter (Rembrandtplein) and to the left. As Lemming has pointed out.
For "the chron" I would suggest Grey Area. For pints and some good rock bands check out The Waterhole down Leidseplein way.
Have a grande trip!

Coincidentally, Barneys will have "Cheese" on the menu when you arrive. It is expected roughly late January.

lctricity - thanks for the kind advice , in fact i have been to the waterhole and it was great time!! i cant remember if the sign has the big toungue on it.. or sometning red .. shit i cant remember... i stayed at the NH amsterdam centre hotel the last few times i have went so i definetely got use of everything in the leidesplein..
this time im closer to the dam square for a different scene..
and i will def check out grey area as i have in the past, but this time i think i will try more strains from them . in the past i tried out the martian mean grean and la confidential from dna. also smoked with d and a at the dna shop after i picked up my custom roor, i enjoyed both there mmg and la con much more than the gear that was in a grey area. but i wish i tried out some more of grey areas varieties.
Milehigh - thats awesome news man! i want to try that cheese out, see what the big fuss is all about.
i will be traveling to haarlem for the day at least once during my trip , and would love to buy u a joint and chill out. and nice haarlem website by the way, i like the menu page !
thanks for all the info everyone,
