First things first, second things second, third thing was getting to the Alby Hein for our room food shop.
If you would have saw me, with them baskets on wheels, it was obvious why I had lots of room to manoeuvre.
I was sliding that thing all over the shop, what's more I didn't even care, first I was wrecked, second the wheely basket was new to me. Third, I treated it like a push me-pull me.
Then, the happy chatty Dutch cashiers chatting away to you and your thinking, Nooooooo, what do I say, I don't speak Dutch,
Erm, Hiya, was how I coped.
They do these 4x small bottles of vanilla flavoured cider, tasty and refreshing for in the room.

In the Jordaan, on Goldbloomstrat, there is a deli, called Lowman I always make it my business to go there, It's opposite the bakers Warme Bakker and I always go there as well. Again, it's the shame of Noooooo, what do I say.
But, as usual, Their, English is exceptional.

We happened by chance on a café, near the Anne Frank house, it's called Vennington on Prinsenstat, It does the best Blt's that I have seen and the Americans seem to know all about it.

I've always thought that Browersgracht is a really lovely street and it was voted most beautiful street as well, supposedly.
I believe it.

The hardest thing I have found about Amsterdam WAS turning a 2D map into 3D, in my head, but I managed and the smartphone helps as well.

Having made a few fatal mistakes in Amsterdam, my favourite was when we were making our way back, from
Basjoes, to the hotel, (BTW the new people told me it was James' mum who used to make the best cake EVER),
via route 1 along Damstraat and it started raining,
We just so happened to dive into that cake shop with tables. I got a chocolatine , my friend got a waffle,
he wanted cream, but we didn't have enough for the cream, cos the 2 cakes were 9.50e, we had to count the very last of the money, we were in shock, we did get to sit in though and enjoy our cakes, rain free.

If I was to go with one of my girl friends instead of my lad friends. I don't think, I would have experienced the RLD,
in all it's seedy glory. I would have been far too scared.
But, we got to go down them skinny alleys that are 2 people wide, I loved it.
We only got followed once by a red light rat, but we crossed the bridge into another's territory,
well we actually ran across that bridge. To Safety.

I was a bit disappointed not to get to Barneys this visit, in March.
It was always too busy.
A good reminder to stick to going in Novemeber.

I don't know, whether I saw the LuvBong in Basjoe's, the time before last last time.
I've told myself it was them.
I'll never know.

It's about time, that I mentioned the smoke, well, I bought from, Amnesia, which as well as being a lovely shop, I enjoyed what I got from there. Betty Boop, Siberie, and Anyday, always the 1st stop for early arrivals to the city. I love sitting off downstairs with the locals, seeing the ones hit the vape and then hit work.
I certainly would not feel comfortable going into any coffee shop and just buy a coffee, So, I suppose that's why I also purchased the cakes, I wasn't smoking 100's of euros of weed, but, I always had some left from my previous purchases to bring in.

The sights you see in a coffeeshop are fascinating, I've seen mooches of the highest order and their name certainly wasn't Gapie.
It was in basjoe's last last time, the group of 3 all scrapping over this 1 chong, then the purchaser of the chong grabbing it from the mooch with his scrap pad.
It was amusing.
The lad in Amnesia telling his friend on the phone, that he was getting on down with his chong and a cake.
No chong and he was staring at the cake not actually consuming it.
Again amusing.

We also visited de kroon, when 420 was rammed and I thought the BT was friendly and helpful.

As lovely as Amsterdam is, I don't think I would like to share my city with as many tourists as Amsterdam does.

Thanks for the update. Get out of the centrum if you want to avoid tourists. There is gold out there.

I'll have to elaborate on that last sentence, before I am torn limb from limb by the Puritans.

Amsterdam is a generous and giving city.
I have never encountered anything but friendliness and patience.
Doesn't mean to say I am though.

It's far too easy to get lost in Amsterdam, but sometimes that's when you get to see the best sights. Despite having been to Amnesia more than a few times, We found ourselves lost, up Keizergracht, The houses are just amazing. The super gigantic windows and what was even better, was that even here, their is a sense of keeping up with the Zeta-Jones'. The houses opposite each other were going all out, with the magnificent chandeliers, on full view. I loved looking into the houses and seeing the different families and friends enjoying their evenings, whilst, we random strangers stared in.

The only thing budget about Amsterdam, is the budget hotels, rated about 300 on TA.
No thanks... to the bedbugs and such things.
I'd rather pay a bit more and get to watch Masterchef, in English with Dutch subtitles, all cozy in my lovely clean bed.
Totally wrecked and smoking in peace. With a fantastic view over the canal.

I used to read some fantastic TR's on here, they were varied and informative.
I'm personally not into an overload of information, when it comes to sativa's and indica's, really, I don't know what any of that means.
If it tastes nice, that's what I like.
In all my visits to coffeeshops, I have never had the luck of seeing, the camaraderie expressed on here.
Never Saw IT. EVER.
In fact, I have rarely seen any heavy smoking sessions going on. Except from them Scousers.
You'll notice them in their Berghaus coats.
My friends are more likely to have a good look around a coffeeshop, young people, just don't care as much, about staring.
They'll say to me, Check that out.
4 people and ONE chong, sort of dissecting it, with their eyes. Not, even having one each.
I don't get that.

This isn't a critique, it's just what I've observed.

Some of the things said on TR's here, give an impression of one big happy smoking family.
Everybody fist bumping their way through a coffeeshop and mega-sesh.
NO, never ever saw that.

I took the liberty, as well, of not reading any other comments, before I posted.
People can be very mean, for No apparent reason.

I'm also, so very glad, that I didn't receive the platitudes of "WoW amazing, report.
When, some of them are quite cleary, dull and uninteresting.
So, I'll take that silence as a compliment.

The genuine comments I received, were genuine, so Thankyou, for them. Comma Comma Comma.
Thankyou, also for, only speaking for yourself.
Full stop.

By all means, Anybody has the right, to think that my TR, is the biggest load of rubbish, ever written.
I 100% respect , your right to your opinion, That's 'your own' opinion by the way Nimrod, also I personally wouldn't take it upon myself to post comments alluding to the fact, that I might find your post, dull and uninteresting.

You, Nimrod displayed your arrogance, like it is normal to make out you, are king of the forum.
To 1st time posters.
You had your glory, with your TR, What? Wasn't it Top of the shop for 2 minutes.
Sorry about that.

Also Nimrod, I don't want to read anymore of what you have got to say, So, I won't be reading what you said.
I'm sure you can understand that.

Thanks for the shout out on my trip report, and thanks for the names of some restaurants to try. I've added them to my "next trip to do list" to try out.

regarding your comment about never encountering large crowds of mega smoking sessions, the only ones I've seen are the ones I've taken the time to setup. If you schedule it they will come... :P

Peace

I like to go on Trip Advisor, to see what is popular, that's how I got to know about the University Library. it is next to the Doubletree Hilton on Stationplein, obviously being Stupid tourists, we went straight for the stairs once we got there, climbing all 17 flights,
but I enjoyed the walk through/up.
The seating arrangements their, were more easily sourced than in Bjendork, wherein
they have these massive bench tables, which can easily sit 12, lesson learnt though, cos, even if their are only 2 people sitting on there, People like their space. We got the daggers from hell, from the couple, on the massive bench table for 12.
We stayed put, my friend was enjoying himself, far too much.

When, we went to the Anne Frank house, it wasn't planned, but, if their is nobody outside.
I'm not superstitious, but when I climbed the stairs into the attic. I can say, I felt the heaviest weight pushing down on me.
I felt that.
That was strange.

My average spend per day was about 70e-80e.
That was for a grammage and a cake or 2, As you can tell, I wasn't being extravagant.
5g's lasted 4 days, definitely not on the same level as the greedy guts on here, But I am a geerl.
