First trip to Amsterdam!

Post by TonyToker »

Hello Everyone!

I'm flying into AMS on 5/24 - 5/27 staying near the Rijksmuseum.

I have a few questions:

1- Where is the best place to get a cheap glass pipe that I can throw away when I leave?

2- Are there still places that will allow you to puff and drink at the same time? I know the law changed but when has that stopped anyone? ;)

3- Any recommendations for coffee shops in Haarlem?

Cheers!

Welcome.

1. Buy before you fly. http://www.everyonedoesit.com/online_he ... -pipes.cfm
2. t'Nes and The Flying Dutchman are two of my favourite smoke friendly bars.
3. Birdy's.

While Birdy's is the only shop worth actually making a special trip out to Haarlem for, if you're already there, you should check out High Times as well. Very nice shop, good selection of smokables, free computers, nice central location.

Actually, if you're already there, you might as well check them all out. There aren't that many, and the place isn't very large, so you can wander round them all and go into any that take your fancy. Tastes differ, after all.

Welcome to the forum.

You have been posted on the May Whos In Town page.

You can see who else may be in town during your stay.

If you don't see yourself, click your refresh or reload button
Your browser sometimes loads pages from your local cache and
you don't get the latest update.

Watch for Toke & Talks, I post them up to the last minute.

Set yourself up with your own T&T or Toke and Talk, where you pick the coffeeshop (your favorite)
and the date and time, I will post it and you wait for folks to show up, if they do you'll have a
T&T. If they don't you still get to enjoy your favorite coffeeshop!

By default I link your posting to your profile page here on ACD.

I can change it to a web link ( myspace, facebook, personal page )
or an email address if you want.

First timers get my S G Collins recommendation
I think a read of this will maximize your efficiency once you get there.

How not to get hit by a bike and other stuff they forgot to tell you about Amsterdam.

Another good Haarlem shop is WW Indica. Right on the river with a windmill right across the way.

Here is a Haarlem coffeeshop map for you.

You can do a little practice shopping on the Coffeeshop Menus page.
Any with arrows are less than six months old.

Any nice new menu pictures you can get will be much appreciated.
Always ask first, better told no than thrown out.

Enjoy

1- Buy a pipe and instead of throwing it away, just give it to someone nice( or me), or just borrow a pipe from someone(me)

2 - Yes, the doors palace being my favorite place to drink and smoke, i don't really sit in coffeshops just drink and smoke here

3 - Not yet, but soon i will go :)
