Clear Rolling Papers?
Clear Rolling Papers?
I was just curious if anybody here has tried the clear rolling papers? They are made of 100% cellulose of vegetal origin and are odorless and tasteless with no added chemicals.
Well, contrary to popular belief, i think they arent that good, yes they look pretty cool, like wrapping a joint in food wrap. I tried some last week in 'Dam after hearing bout them, and to be honest i think they smell like the cellophane you get around a pack of cigarettes. If you burn one under your nose and smell the shit that comes off it, it will totally put you off. Like USBONGLORD told me in Dam..... "Cellulose! that means its been developed in a lab. I think I'd rather smoke something that comes off a tree" his wise words not mine. Trust me they stink of shit.
Hope this helps, and sorry to dissappoint. (if i have)

I wish I was going to the dam soon. I am curious to see how they differ from my normal orange zig zags so I will probably pick up a pack and see if there is a noticeable difference. Thanks for all the info again Axeman.axeman9 wrote:Sorry i thought you were going to dam soon. bit far to get a packYeah your local headshop should have 'em in

I'm not trying to be a jerk, but:axeman9 wrote: "Cellulose! that means its been developed in a lab. I think I'd rather smoke something that comes off a tree" his wise words not mine.
Cellulose (C6H10O5)n is a long-chain polymeric polysaccharide carbohydrate, of beta-glucose [1][2]. It forms the primary structural component of green plants. The primary cell wall of green plants is made primarily of cellulose; the secondary wall contains cellulose with variable amounts of lignin. Lignin and cellulose, considered together, are termed lignocellulose, which (as wood) is argued to be one of the most common biopolymers on Earth (chrysolaminarin is often argued to be the other). Only one group of animals, the tunicates, has the ability to create and use cellulose. Some acetic acid bacteria are also known to synthesize cellulose. ~wikipeadia
Ok, I'm done being grouchy. I'd like to try these clear paper either way.
chuck.
except the problem with this very impressive explanation is that these cellulose chains (countless glucose molecules attached together in chain arrangements) are actually really beneficial for your body when ingested as such (i.e. vegetables -> fibres -> cellulose) but when it comes to inhaling its consumption smoke I'm not too sure thats just as good.Pala wrote:I'm not trying to be a jerk, but:axeman9 wrote: "Cellulose! that means its been developed in a lab. when you burn something, you probably don't know it, but your carrying out a basic chemical reaction: your providing chemical energy (heat) to a product, and it reacts (burns) to give reactants. well the products of burning sugar (basically, cellulose) aren't that cool! you can try that at home, just try burning some sure with a lighter and then get a taste of the smoke that comes off... it includes carbon monoxide, and other reaction derivatives, at very high doses (carbon from the sugar reacting with oxygen from air) and that shit is not good for you, trust me. now as far as saying that these are better or worst for you than normal papers, I have no idea.
I'm not a geek (as most of you may now think). just trying to find a logical explanation why some people think there is something weird with these clear papers while others are attracted by them. personally I pretty much want to try them but I have no idea if fucking Edinburgh's news agents sell those clear papers.. and I don't see myself showing up to the counter and describing'em to the fat old paky behind his counter
lol no jokes. they sound cool them papes
Peace,
Scott.
Oh yeah. thanks DC......., i must think first.......... before i type!! heh hehDC wrote:Axeman, how do you know what the inside of an ass tastes like in the first place?![]()
And Scott, hey im just saying that i didnt enjoy them and could smell the plastic when it was burning. I personally use silver rizlas and back-roll my spliffs so i get chuff-all paper anyway.
