ive just watched a video from andrew pyrah he was showing a new product called kushclean he used it on 2 very filthy bongs just poured it in and left over night and just poured it out in the morning and they were sparkling clean. he said its an american product so you in the us might already know about it? i think the website was

GrungeOff has worked extremely well for me. Its a good alternative for those places in the world where ISO is very expensive...... eg. Amsterdam!!!
However, I've actually abandoned GrungeOff in favor of PBW (powdered brewery wash). Its a powder that is mixed in with hot water, and does a damn good job of cleaning glass, every bit as good as GrungeOff. Its intended for cleaning commercial beverage/food production machines, and can be purchased at home-brewing supply shops.
Advantages of PBW over Grunge Off:
- Much cheaper
- Non toxic (designed for food production equipment)
- Biodegradable
- No strong smells (doesn't leave a weird orange smell in your kitchen after using)
- Can be reused a few times, but no need since its so cheap
How well does it work?
Glass just doesn't get any cleaner than that.

... the pics of the clean bong were taken when you bought it, like right out of the box.
ISO is very expensive to the tune of how many Euros per liter?
If more than the cost of petrol, use petrol instead...

Seriously though, I was also surprised how well the PBW cleaned that bong.
The best price I found in the Netherlands was around
40 euros for a litre, from an online shop. (font size enlarged to make it crystal clear why ISO/Salt is not practical for everyone). The shop even had a disclaimer apologising for the high price, and explaining that its because of taxes in the Netherlands.
This was about 2 years ago, so its possible there are better deals floating around now.
Other than that, some pharmacies in Amsterdam have these tiny bottles (like 150ml) of cleaning alcohol for about 4 euros. But this stuff is poisonous, so I prefer not to use it. A couple of times I used this blue cleaning alcohol from Albert Heijn, but decided that was a bad idea, as there are big skull and crossbone "warning" symbols all over the bottle.
Ummmm... petrol?? Thats a first for me. Maybe I'm being over-cautious, but I prefer to use relatively non-poisonous substances when it comes to cleaning devices that I'm going to be sticking in my mouth and inhaling from. And yes, I do rinse my glass VERY well in water after cleaning, but how can you be 100% sure you got it all from the microscopic nooks, crannies, cracks and pores in the glass? I have the feeling it would slowly leech out into your bong water as you're using the bong, and then into your lungs. But again, I'm just personally super cautious about putting toxic chemicals into my body, I know others don't really care too much about these things. To each their own...

It was only US$150 or so. Very good price for a piece made by Hans Meijer (Snob Glass). I got it from Grasscity, but I can't find it on their website right now, maybe its out of production, not sure.... Heres a review anyway:

Yup, the Arizer elbow will fit this bubbler, its 18.8mm.

use methalated spirits and rice. or kerosene and rice and shake it up till all the black stuff comes off. rinse and repeat until brand new
