I gotta say I'm a bit surprised by the negative backlash to your effort! Didn't see what was so offensive in your comments, but sometimes these things slip by me. Nevertheless, I just grabbed myself a copy of your book to see what all of the fuss is about! Writing about my experiences in Amsterdam is something I, and I suspect many others, have talked about doing; so if nothing else I have tremendous respect (and maybe a tinge of jealousy) for you actually having done it. (And maybe THAT explains some of the negativity from what is normally a pretty easy-going crowd...)

Indeed I was and am befuddled myself about it. Maybe I could have posted a better bit but the question was your worst coffeeshop experience and that's what it was.....the part I posted I mean. I don't mind folk dissing it if its the truth and constructive but to simply dismiss it out of hand is a bit Ozzy Osbourne :D

Why are most people browbeating MR Crocket.....I read his post and I thought it was pretty dam funny.
Loved Pink Floyds and that is a great spot to chill and check out the views, so what if he and his partner want to claim the space
for an hour or two, relax. He rags on a couple of folks, fine, thats his opinion. He has a right to do that doesn't he? After that he pretty much beats up on himself after his lung explosion, so why is everyone giving the man grief :?:
Nice writing style MR Crocket.

Thank you for your kind comments above my friend :D ...so far two Americans like it and all my fellow English stoners hate it??....and I thought you Yanks had no sense of humour...or is that Germans ? ....anyway you make a very valid point about me beating myself up. I call it the "Chubby Brown" sense of humour where one takes the piss out of oneself as well as others. That is indeed my own personal sense of humour and it runs through my book like a shit stain on a Geordies bedsheet. This sense of humour kind of explains me calling the scrotes that were laughing at me as "Bastards" if you think of it in a Chubby Brown way. All said with fun and mirth and not a single hint of malice.

Popeye's Coffeeshop

1) November 2013 - Arrived at 10am. First smoke of the trip so thought I'd grab some Pink Kush. At €17.50 g I thought the price was a bit much, but still proceeded to buy anyway judging on smell and look (which were both really nice). The Asian Budtender told me to look at it under the microscope, to which I was sold. Rolled up a fat one and to my amazement it would not light! I would have 1 or 2 tokes of the joint and it would be out again. Not to mention the harsh taste and horrible smell when burning. Needless to say I was very disappointed.

1) May 2014 - Having sat in the downstairs area before, me and a few mates decided to buy some weed and chill out with a chocomel (as you do when in Dam). Anyway, we noticed a draft of cold air kept hitting my us, mainly annoying my friend who was sat nearest the wall. He quickly turned, and we all noticed that there was gap between where the Budtenders feet were, and where we were sitting. We could basically see behind the counter and could even reach through (if we wanted to). Towards the end of our smoke we noticed the Budtender dropped a large bud of something, and it rolled down next to my friends feet. I saw it, and quickly told my friend to pick it up and put it in his bag. The Budtender must not have even noticed as no one said anything to us. Needless to say I was happy, as last time I felt I had been conned with what I had purchased. We quickly left the shop to examine what we had acquired and to my excitement, It looked like a lovely bud of Super Silver Haze! Id say it weighed about 4-5 g! I could tell it was Super Silver Haze from the smell and taste! Magnificently sweet smelling with a piney/pungent taste!

So I guess this was one of my worst and one of my best Coffeeshop moments, all from 1 place. Other than that I've not really had a bad experience or any real shit weed as I usually inspect before I buy.
