Does a new pipe need 'breaking in'?

Just bought a new pipe mail order. I realised it is the first brand new pipe I have owned.
It is only a small pocket one but I was wondering if its needs to be 'broken in' to get the best results? And if so any suggestions would be welcome!

As we was young smokers with 14 or so,we thought that a bong must be "smoked-in" then he would be better. But lol today i clean my Pipe each day

A Clean Pipe is the best Pipe.
Oh and make sure you get some fine screens or you get alot of shit in your lungs
