How Much Should One Buy and Try Going Alone Solo?

Expecting to be out alone the first few days during upcoming visit and need some advice.

How much should one (who doesn't want pre-rolled or tobacco, and can either roll or use pipe or bong) buy in a shop? It seems popular to try more than one type during each shop visit so that might be a good idea to follow unless there are other recommendations. Don't really want to carry any purchases around outside unless necessary.

Can one buy just enough to use inside the shop during a visit or is there a better way?

Usually there is a 5 euro minimum but some shops require you to buy at least a gram. Its up to you if you smoke it all while you're in the shop. Its really up to you, not sure anyone can give you a straight answer.

As a general money saver, buy half grams when and where you can.

Don't want to carry around because will be traveling to the next stop and don't want some drug dog to sniff out something unexpectedly because someone came home at 2am and accidentally dropped it into a backpack, suitcase, shoe, toiletry bag, etc.

No accidental remnants after departure from Amsterdam.

A gram is the bare minimum in most places, unless you're buying some of the more potent hashes (which can be bought at 0.5 a gram, due to their potent and expensive nature). That said though, don't worry so much, enjoy the freedoms you can enjoy in Amsterdam, keep your bags close & locked, and don't bring smoke across the border.

If you go to shop that sells shit weed and you've gone and bought 2 bags then it'll be a waste.

If its good, go back for more

Don't worry too much about weed remnants, I'm from the UK, we didn't bring any weed back but all bought our used grinders and no one cared

Carry a plastic zip-lock baggie with you, the sturdy type. Always stash your stash there, no worries with residue. Just toss the bag when departing. I keep stash, lighter, papers, etc in mine, no exceptions.

What I've done is ask the bud tender if I may purchase a few 0.5 grams for sampling.
With more than 100 shops visited, I've only been refused a couple of times, so no biggie.
If the shop has a 1 gram minimum, I'll decide at that moment if to buy or fly...
If I go to a shop that I've never visited before, and the gear looks interesting, then I'll ask/purchase several 0.5 samples.
How much should you buy depends, how much ya want? tolerance? Also, don't forget the 5 gram rule...
