17 days from departure, the price of my itinerary remains unchanged at $1009, however, now both prediction tools are in agreement that prices may go down. I doubt it though.

yeah but the stop over is either 65min or 2 hrs, 65min is cutting transfer short, and 2hrs is a long stop for someone tired

Tired? Sleep on the flight... too easy. I won't bother with the plethora of reasons/excuses for someone not sleeping on airplanes, it's beside the point anyway... :)
What will be the first thing most if not all stoners do when they arrive at the centraal? Wanna bet it has nothing to do with their hotel, mostly cause they probably can't check in until afternoon (not all, but most)? So, truth be told it ain't about being tired, it's about getting to the nearest coffee shop as soon as possible. What a load of BS... Next...

People have choices, non stop or stop in Dublin, London, Manchester, Reykjavik, Paris, Frankfurt, and so on...
Given your example, I'd choose the layover because of the savings, nothing else. No time to see anything, unless I scheduled a longer layover... which for the same price could be a treat, sort of like hitting two with one shot... ala Anthony Bourdain...
Dublin -
Off the plane, go to the food court, have a breakfast, maybe even this for 20 Euros...

Food choices...

http://www.dublinairport.com/gns/shops- ... nal-2.aspx

...and then this............................
1. Nothing gets between a hardcore stoner and Mokum...
2. Need to be there yesterday, no time to waste...
3. Barney's by 7am, Utopia by 9am, and Voyagers by 10am... no time for Irish breakfast...
4. and so on....

Whatever one chooses, it's all good... :)

The price for my dates, Tue Sep 3 - Tue Sep 17, is still flat at $1009 ~ nonstop IAD>AMS - Delta/KLM.

Boredom and a lack of learning being a great fertilizer for wild hairs - one sprouted today and I checked the cost of the same trip with the cities reversed. If I were to be traveling from AMS to IAD on those dates....

$956.

I guess this just goes to show you that the airlines will actively goose system in the effort to fill those planes up to capacity.

EDIT: up to 105% capacity or more?
