Cannabis cup Winners and Runners Up LAST 5 YEARS

Post by Jack Ganja »

I've heard on some forums that the cannabis cup's a waste of time, on others that it's fantastic, and from locals that its a "fucking nightmare. its crazy time, you cant move." So I'm going to see what the winners and runners up are like, some of which I've probebly already tried. Anyone who's smoked any of these or been to a cannabis cup is more than welcome to comment, ok heres the list:

2007
G-13 Haze - Barney's - smoked in a pre rolled twice, both times was good they use unchlorinated papers for the pre rolleds and both the ones I had had a good hazey taste and a nice happy haze fog.
Chocolope - Grey Area
Super Silver Haze - Green House United

2008
Super Lemon Haze - Greenhouse United- Smoked in a pre rolled. Not a very good taste but pretty strong, might have to get a gram to compare to other super lemon hazes
Utopia Haze - Barney's
Chocolope - The Green Place

2009
Super Lemon Haze - Green House
Vanilla Kush - Barney's
Head Band Kush - The Green Place

2010
Tangerine Dream – Barney’s Coffeeshop
Super Lemon Haze – Greenhouse United
L.A. Cheese - The Green Place

2011
Liberty Haze – Barney’s Coffeeshop- Got a gram of it. Wow this is a nice one, possibly my new #1 haze. clear taste, strong long lasting euphoric high
Hawaiian Snow – Greenhouse United
Buddha Tahoe - The Green Place

2012
Flower Bomb Kush - the Green House Coffeeshop very nice looking buds, covered in trichomes and a perfect kush look. peppery kushy smell and a good kush taste
Shoreline - the Green Place Smoked it, this shit is STRONG but the taste not that good
Evergrey - the Grey Area

I've smoked super lemon and super silver from other places, are the ones at GH usually better or would my money be better spent at Boerejongons for these strains, where theyre I think less than 10 p/g?

I think I want to try Flowerbomb kush, liberty Haze, Hawian Snow, Tangerine dream and L.A. Cheese at least, anyone got any views on these?

*EDITED TO REFLECT THE ONES I'VE SMOKED

Boerejongens' SSH and SLH are 9,50 and 9 per gram respectively. Also, there is often a nice SSH at coffeeshop Central for 7,5 p/g. I see no reason to spend 14,50 p/g at Greenhouse.

2007
G-13 Haze - Barney's - g13 x hawian haze, was amazing in the past, normally is complete shite now. although i randomly went in while cycling past this morning, it's the nicest i have seen it in the last 6 months so i grabbed a gram, still not worth it for the 15euro i was charged and nothing like the old days.

Chocolope - Grey Area - over rated strain(although enjoying some right now, but not from GA)

Super Silver Haze - Green House United - Never a fan of GH, but love SSH

2008

Super Lemon Haze - Greenhouse United - very popular
Utopia Haze - Barney's - been better in the past
Chocolope - The Green Place - over rated strain(although enjoying some right now)

2009
Super Lemon Haze - Green House - very popular
Vanilla Kush - Barney's - never saw the appeal
Head Band Kush - The Green Place - not as good as the real headband

2010
Tangerine Dream – Barney’s Coffeeshop - overrated but nice enough
Super Lemon Haze – Greenhouse United - popular
L.A. Cheese - The Green Place - loved this so much

2011
Liberty Haze – Barney’s Coffeeshop - overrated but nice enough
Hawaiian Snow – Greenhouse United - never seen a batch i wanted to buy
Buddha Tahoe - The Green Place - never had it, had enough tahoe OG in my time.

2012
Flower Bomb Kush - the Green House Coffeeshop - smells better than it tastes
Shoreline - the Green Place - lovely taste, reminds me of some of the fruity pebble type US strains
Evergrey - the Grey Area - it was ok

I've smoked all from the list except for L.A. Cheese and Buddha Tahoe - not all during the cannabis cups though.

My favourite one of the lists would be Super Lemon Haze - from Voyagers or Boerejongens instead of Greenhouse. Although I have to admit that I really liked SLH from Greenhouse in 2009 and 2011.

Flowerbomb Kush wasn't bad at all and strong as fuck last November.

Got some Liberty Haze at Amnesia last spring and I wasn't happy at all. Overrated shit weed imo.

Never had any luck with Tangerine Dream. My last try was a few years back so probably the quality changed by now.

Hawaiian Snow wasn't my cup of tea either...

I always had good times during the Cannabis Cup. Beside its commercial aspect there's nothing wrong about it. It's even one of the most fun times of the year imo - with judge pass or without.

Voyagers has chocolope on their new menu. They also have big buddha's cheese, which is similar to but (imho) better than LA Cheese. LA cheese is a LA Conf Mom and a Exodus cheese dad and BBC is cheese mom LA Confidential male.
Because life is too short to smoke bad bud.
