Watching High Speed Trains

Any ideas of where on can watch a high speed train pass?

With a little research I see that between Rotterdam and Schiphol there is a stretch where the trains can travel at 300km. I'd like to witness such engineering first hand. I'm not limited to this stretch and would like to consider other areas that offer a view including Brussels.
