What's Good RIGHT NOW: Real Time Weed Reports From Amsterdam
Re: What's Good RIGHT NOW: Real Time Weed Reports From Amsterdam
Ok! Big reason is time to grow. Back few years the growers always used hazes for weight in holland .They figured axtra weeks growth was worth it for product strength and weight. Enter the conservitive christian SAVE THE CHILDREN folks.They cracked down ,laws got stiffer the locals stepped out, the mob moved in. If your still growing there you went to faster strains,This is where the Kush steps in nine ,ten weeks nice strong product.There still killer hazes out there ,but with 15 or more weeks work most grower,s keep it among small group.

@Macky
Good points. On the other hand I know you can buy cuts for cheap easily too and can't imagine much growers use seeds though. It's all about shortened flowering time though!
By the way 10 weeks for e.g. the 'moppel/core cut' of Amnesia is often enough not only for customers, it depends.
@Mr.Nice257
If you don't know: most of what is sold as 'Amnesia' in coffeeshops is not from 'Amnesia Haze' from Soma but a selected cut from a bag seed of 'Super Silver Haze' from Greenhouse more than a decade ago. Just saying as you suspected seedbanks changed its genetics. First there were this Amnesia then maybe greedy Soma either used this cut(breeding) or just the name and reputation for his 'Amnesia Haze'(when he won a cup with his 'Amnesia Haze' he changed prices from 80€/10 seeds to 130€/10 seeds back in the day). All a bit of a mystery here and guesswork, just see the links above!
You most probably refer to the 'moppel/core cut'. Let alone this cut grown by several growers with e.g. different conditions can produce different batches.
Personally in opposite to ten years ago I'm quite bored of Amnesia and rarely choose it nowadays so can't tell you where to find good Amnesia. Too I think the run on Hazes and Amnesia has nothing to do with any nation. Haze hype is more or less over since a couple of years, now lots of people ask for Kush indeed. If done right of course Amnesia is a proper cut but I like variation
.
Definitely take a look here: http://en.seedfinder.eu/strain-info/Amn ... y_Strains/ and https://www.icmag.com/ic/showthread.php?threadid=311660 !

@jessicass I agree with different growers same cutting ,hard to tell its same strain. I don,t no if you seen high time magazine with picture of sensi seed bank lite up at night .It was taken back in the days before Dutch cracked down. In those days of skunk number 1 there was breeding going on like crazy. Guys where brining back seeds from around the world long before Strain Hunters fucks at greenhouse. These days ....see hash church....they call it southern strains ,northern strains ,all sativa. There,s always been stealing or sharing genetics since the beginning,it's just so easy to make femm.seeds it's getting nuts. When you make F1 hybrids ,life's a box of choc....you don,t know what you will get. If your lucky and can start lots,you find the one. I will dig it up and rejuvanate ,keep strain make cuttings for next year . If your going to make seeds to sell out of that strain , that's when the work begins. Real breeders like Simon from serious seeds would take years to make stable relieble strains. At this point in time way too many cowboys.....buyer beware. I have no problem paying up for good gentics. It's the beauty of breeding ,the next big things is just around the corner

the Lemon Bubble from Voyagers I bought a week ago was outstanding at 12e/g
very nice smoke, smell transfers to taste, not harsh on throat. powerful effect!
only strain on that trip that I bought twice.
also Power Plant from Mr.K I bought last saturday.
9e/g, powerful, tasty, beautiful buds, flushed.
photobucket is under maintenance since wednesday, will deliver some pics of the 2 strains when they get things running again...

Hear, hear, Macky! Not so much into High Times magazine as I use other sources(which probably among others use High Times
)but I agree nonetheless. Greenhouse is only good marketing indeed and don't like these wannabes except for their imported moroccan hashish sometimes.
As you said today everyone and his dog is a breeder(see Greenhouse)and indeed just using colloidal silver for any selected cut to produce some F1s isn't breeding at all(no one knows about long term effects of this chemical by the way. No friend of feminizing anyway and am glad that my source of organic homegrown aggrees to that. I'm aware of rodelization by the way which I assume is a better way to go 'if necessary' . I'm no grower at all though.). Like DINAFEM, DNAgenetics and all those 'breeders'(and copy cats often, too! ). On the other hand I don't have a problem with F1s as long as the so called breeder doesn't lie about it and doesn't charge stiff prices for it. No comparison at all but Nirvana Seeds handle it similar with not so stable seedlines but they're cheap and if you have enough time you can always find something special, you know what I mean! By the way for example we had good seeds from Sannie's(Jackberry F4 for example)which we rate highly! Many other good and trustworthy hobby breeders around on let's say Attitude for example. Also read some stuff about Simon in the past and he seems to be legit(once was supplied with one pretty sativaish phenotype of Kali Mist which I personally didn't like though in opposite to others).
Just my two cents, enjoy coming 420 by the way

Well... excellent post, 100% necessary really. Do we want to talk about cannabis in the main forums or do we want to compare countries?Alo wrote:I guess it helps make you forget how bad your country is in other areas.dconstrukt wrote:thats why you gotta love the states with CALI and CO…. they label everything…. with details. you know exactly what you're getting...

Just start a thread in the off-topic forums. No need to attack others.
my 2 cents.

kind of hard to get mad at some jackass jabronie when he tries to insult you and your country but he can't spell and sounds like ignorant fool… LOL... he just makes himself look more and more like a moron. Give him enough rope and the jabronie will always hang himself.
hey jabronie. (thats you alo) next time I want your feedback… I'll point at you to comment.
till then, know your role, and shut your mouth jabronie.
