Coffee shops are already enormously profitable businesses. Do you think they should be allowed to sell tainted and possibly dangerous products with impunity?

AB-SO-Fucking-Loot-Lee. Its part of the business cycle. Competition will easily beat them, and they will fail. Intervention to make sure amateurs/crooks, have "safe product" is expensive. Who's going to pay for that shit? Im sure they will pass it on to you....the consumer.
Seems like we can sort out what shops are poor, fair, and good on here just fine. Thanks for the free market Lem

Perhaps Admin can check his IP on Geoip,when it shows he is from,dont know USA or Russia or so it cant be me,im German and should have a German IP Number.When he is a german too that should explain the simmiliary writing style.

Agreed there should be an independent cannabis ombudsman who has the power to fine cofeeshops for poor/tainted weed and make the details public so we can judge where best to source our holiday product.

That said Weedus I saw your post about cooking rock on one of the other threads. Not cool man. I'm a libertarian when it comes to most drugs but that shit ruins lives. You should do yourself a favour and delete it before someone impressionable decides it's a good idea totry it out for themselves

If there is no authority to complain to then just spread the word. Nothing travels faster amongst stoners than news of shit gear knocking about. Tell everyone who will listen and even those that wont. Keep the shit weed/hash and show it around. Word of mouth will sort them out in the end.

We can which is fine. Buyer beware. I get it. There is some cool Latin phrase but I can't be bothered to Google . Sounds great on paper but if a shop is selling tainted weed to tourists they might get away with it for an extended period. This could cause a number of people to have health issues in the meantime. This is potentially a killer blow for the industry as a whole lot more than calling out an individual shop.
More and more businesses in general are attempting to victimize their own customers in some way and they are getting away with it. It is not a trend I like to see creeping into this industry.

Let me make a comparison.....

A restaurant that sells rotten food shouldn't be left in operation until a customer dies of food poisoning. Should it? I don't see the difference. Shops that sell tainted weed should be closed down and their license put up for someone responsible enough to dispense medicine in an honest manner. The same goes for shorting weight, selling to underage kids and selling tumbled buds. Inspections , fines, suspensions and ultimately closure should all be used to stop CS's taking the piss.
There should be a contract of trust signed by the owner of each CS making them personally responsible for their products and their BT's should have to have a similar accord. They should be made to care about something more than profits.... standards. Only then can the industry come out of the shadows and stand proudly as it should as a legitimate source of medical comfort and social harmony.

Unscrupulous CS owners are potentially ruining the image of the industry for personal short term gain.

We should be able to go into a 'care center' or coffee shop (kind of an out dated word) and speak with a BT who knows the menu and what function each weed will provide. It should be a service orientated industry. There is a reason Utopia is so popular here. It is not a particularly inspiring piece of real estate but they get their customer service right by hiring staff that can see beyond the end of their noses.
Quite frankly I think a vast number of BT's should not be allowed to work in a CS without proper training/experience. At the very least some training in dealing with people in a public setting.

Regulation or Prohibition, you take your pick. Without proper regulation the prohibitionists would potentially have enough ammunition to succeed.
Anyone want that?
