A Colorado company is giving away the genetics of it's ultra-high CBD strain 'R4'. "The R4 has been recently tested at over 20% assayable CBD and less than 1% THC content by weight..."; the author explains. High CBD strains are very important for medical users and the company is allowing anyone who agrees to their terms to cultivate the strain. Very interesting.
I believe this was one of the CBD strains featured on the recent Sanjay Gupta piece which ran on CNN. IIRC a tincture prepared with this strain brought prompt and spectacular relief to a child stricken with epilepsy.
One of the obstacles the child's parents had to overcome was finding a doctor who would write a MMJ prescription for a 4ish year old girl.
