hi there anyone using the smoke out app on android? seems to be the best thing since sliced bread! does however have some of the closed shops on there. just have to work out how to use it without the roaming charges!

Pick up a bliep sim from carphone warehouse for €10. Come with €10 credit on it and it's only €1 a day for unlimited data. Worked a treat.

I downloaded this last night and it found me where I was. Now it's telling me I'm 48 km from Utopia, where I am. Maybe it's tired.

make sure your phone GPS is actually turned on

I use this app. It is really out of date, but if you know the CS you want to go to, it is great for getting directions there and then.

Looking at the website the Bliep simcard is either a full size one that you can just pop the middle bit out to get just a micro, or you can order one as a new 'nano sim' as used in the iPhone 5. So yes it would work for your phone =)

I haven't used them before, but it says free delivery, not sure whether this constitutes outside of NL though, hopefully Excel can shed some light =)

Call me a luddite but half the fun is shambling round the streets in a daze trying to find a specific coffeeshop and then trying other places on my no doubt cirtuitous route. Must we use our phones to replace every thinking part of the old noggin?

i used it the first i went to Amsterdam but half the coffeeshops are closed and once you know your preferred shop's you don't really need it, If it was updated i probably would have it on my phone, i went to go to coffeeshop Blah Blah walked all the way there and it was closed so ending up deleting in and having fun looking for shops which while it did get frustrating i also got to see bits of the dam i wouldn't of if i followed the App Have fun on your travels

Is it Micro sim? visiting Amsterdam for 4 nights, so it would only cost me 10euro??
I have iphone... I'm new here and not so good at english

Just make sure your Iphone is unlocked and you are good to go. Just pick it up in town.
