Lemming's Google Map - Old South

Here's a map to help you get your bearings!

I see Coffeeshop Atlantis, De Graal, Club Media, Katsu, and others in the area so check out their reviews.

The worst thing about coffeeshops in de Pijp – and it's not all that bad in the greater scheme of things – is that they don't open all that early. De Graal, for example, opens at noon (and 4 on Sundays). I think Club Media opens at 10; I have a vague idea that one or more of Atlantis, Ibiza and D&L open around then as well, but can't be sure. Nobody around here seems to get up that early, or they stay in hotels where they can smoke.

I love De Pijp, some real gem coffeeshops =)

De Graal - Good Weed, Good Hash, Great place to chill out, my fav CS in Amsterdam

Katsu - some what of a mixed reputation these days but in the past was known for having really good stock

Yo-yo - All organic, majority grown under sunlight (greenhouse grows I think), all bags either 5 or 10 euros, not the strongest but certainly worth a visit.

Carmona - Small menu, got the 'Carmona Crazy Haze' for around 12.50 (most expensive they had) and it was a really nice strongly citrus haze.

Papillon - Decent menu (around 8 or 10 bud and 4 hash I think), was 50/50 about my purchase (silver bud, lovely smell, no taste, decent high)

Club Media - G0od reputation for hash, they carry a large number of Inidica strains (8ish compared to only 2 or 3 Sativa, unusual these days), the inside looks more like a formal restaurant than a CS (I haven't seen another shop to compare it to).
Members only but sounds like usually you will be allowed to smoke inside.

Ibizia - I was told by a member I met that they did some very good hash.

Ocean - Decent bud (My Strawberry Kush was anyway !), mixed reviews on the service, apparantly it used to have a really comfy smoking area but that was closed for along time, when I was there a couple of days ago it looked like it may be open again but I wouldn't like to swear by it

D&L - Not heard anything about this place in along time, but it used to have a good reputation and I am planning to go there today as part of a little De Pijp crawl (Yo-yo, D&L, Club Media, De Graal) but I would be more motivated if the piss poor weather went away. Will let you know how it is !

Greenhouse - If you are a fan of the GH CS then it is worth pointing out that there is one around De Pijp, I hear it is about 2euro cheaper than in central but I can't confirm this.

Plenty more CS I haven't mentioned (lack of knowledge) but just know that De Pijp is a great place for CS =) Can't comment on the opening times, I'm never there that early !

Do try and make time for a quick visit to Yo-Yo. Opens about 12 and for a late breakfast and a doobie or two in totally chilled surroundings is hard to beat. If the imported Durban Poison is on the menu then all the better. Was 1.6g for 10E. Don't try and compare the dark outdoor weed to the manicured tub queens in some shops. Just get stuck in.

Two shops in de Pijp nobody ever talks about are Roxy and Atlantis. The first I went into when I couldn't find Club Media, and I remember it as nothing special, though with internet access. I looked into Atlantis and chatted a bit with an Israeli budtender one morning, but didn't stop or get anything, as they only had Moroccan hash. I've since learnt to value at least some Moroccan hashes, though, and the place might be worth another try.

Greenhouse opens early in de Pjip area. Was there early one morning. Can't remember time but it was pretty early, I'd say 8am ish.
Another shop no one ever seems to mention is de Kabouter which is right round the corner from de Graal. Has some interesting weed and some decent hash.
How much did you produce?
