google translate version....

An employee of a coffee shop in the Rijnstraat Sunday is threatened with a weapon. That AT5 reports.

Shortly after the employee had opened the case, a light came tinted man inside. He threatened her with a gun and took her purse. It is unclear what was in that bag. The perpetrator fled in unknown direction.

According to police, the woman is not injured, but she is very scared. Via Burgernet people are called to look at a slightly tanned man with a stocky build and sportswear.
In connection with the weapon that the offender has with him, witnesses must be careful.

"Licht getinte man" is translated as a "light-skinned man" by Google

Licht getint = lightly tinted brown, which has become known as a fairly cliched PC term for men of "northern african descent"

that Papillon story is so vague, as if a crude white washing method. convenient lack of witnesses before opening time and no people on the streets yet, a nicely quiet morning for a bundle o cash to disappear. [/slander]

So will there now be a 3 day waiting period suggested for acquiring the knife or for the coffee? :)

I would be interested to know how much loot he made off with.
it was before opening time and how much of a till float will a coffeeshop have? i'll bet no more than fifty euros and change. I think that may be the main problem with robbing coffeeshops, for there to be money to have away there have to be customers and some shaky twat with a knife is going to have nothing to do with that.
even taking the weed is not going to net you a great deal given the limits imposed on coffeeshop stock.

has consideration been given to collusion between staff and light skinned robber? I've been to Papillion many times and there are some right dodgy looking coves all around the place. and inside come to think of it.

good chance that in a smaller joint like this, the sunday morning till is still filled with saturday(nite's) turnover. pretty crummy-paying crime in any case .

oh and looking dodgy is one thing, but going out to rob a shop is a whole nother thing (i'm proof of that. as in, i've never robbed a shop).

there is, I think, no chance at all of takings being left overnight in any till, (cash register for the cousins), in Amsterdam.

for dodgy looking please read junkie looking, those chaps will rob anything.

why do you think you look dodgy? is it something you've cultivated?
