Last month, a misfortune happen on a grow ...

Six people were injured, four of them of a very serious nature very critically-burn in a gas explosion occurred this afternoon at a shop selling cannabis seeds and fertilizers for Carabanchel, reported a spokesman for Emergency Madrid . The other two injured, mild, are a nine year old girl with cuts on his hand, and a policeman, intoxicated by inhalation of smoke.
The explosion has hit four boys between 24 and 29 years who were in that basement, with burns between 30% to 80% of the body.
The events took place at 18:50 hours on the street nightjar, number 24, in the district of Carabanchel, in the basement of a hotel with the name Cañaman Grow Shop, a cannabis seed shop.
forensic science has moved to the site to determine the origin of the explosion, which is believed to have caused the outbreak of a gas bottles in the basement of the establishment, although firefighters have observed that the bottles that were in the room does not had been affected.

Finally, we have clarified the issue. The owners make bho in a basement with no ventilation, at some point one of them lit a joint!

Thanks nsfe for posting and completely de mystifying what is a very simple process as long as a few basic safety rules are followed.
It won't be long before a method which is a lot safer becomes more widespread. Even as we speak I'm sure several people are working on a 'safe' BHO making machine.

Butane never be non-flammable so not sure how much safer it can be. Thought a vacuum purge at the end was essential for getting the last of the butane out? Any chemists here who can think of a similarly efficient but less volatile solvent - or it that a chemical contradiction?

Yawn,...so last year?....I've crushed last year bro and co2?,got 50000 dollars for a good set up.....?....it's all about TIME, and material....I'll put my spoon up against anything from a dispensary.just as good or better..I've tried em,alot of em....so far the glaring problem with big batches is the purge...vacuum is cool but not needed if you have time...go ahead and drink the Budweiser ..us moonshiners will be here when ya need us and to be clear I'm not trying to argue..I love you guys yer opinions are very welcome,it makes me do research and get better,thanks kids

There is only one source of "SPOON", produced in limited quantities from the USBLabs. It's not widely known, one day perhaps... or maybe not.

Using Butane has become equivalent to using Isopropyl Alcohol, regardless of the % of purity of product, it's outdated not to mention extremely dangerous.
The so called future of pot has been around for years, it's just taken the hype machine a while to grow a pair, come out of the closet, and begin cashing in on said hype.
BHO was the future in the 00's (pronounced noughties), however an even older method became the future - cold water extraction, aka Bubble.
Now it's liquid nitrogen (LN) and liquefied carbon dioxide (CO2) that are taking the spotlight. What is next?

Dunno about the immune system but it messes with the mind of the weak, makes them think they are super human, something they are not and puts you in a fantasy land (check chat out)

It's bad for you in large quantitys but fun with occasional use, opened a can of worms probably but that's the way it was in the past ,present and future. It will go full loop and weed will be the future probably smoked in some sort of glass oh shit we have had that one aswell, dam....
