A few years ago i got a tobacco replacement called Dutch Spirit. Its was ok for a day or two but wasnt something you could get used to. Didnt burn as well as tobacco and didnt taste as good, and im not a fan of tobacco taste!
In the end i got a vape or two, and was successfully off tobacco for 3 years.
This past 6 months ive slipped back on to tobacco joints though.

Consider Greengo if the weed you get has been properly dried and cured then the taste of weed eliminates the taste of greengo, to stop the harshness and to stop it burning to quick iv'e put a piece of lettuce in the greengo pouch to make it as moist as tobacco and now burns more like rolling baccy rather than cigarette baccy

Hi Billy, I'm gonna try this stuff out as I'm sick of being hooked on nicotine. Interested to know if you're getting much withdrawal symptoms without the old baccy?

Bong water actually removes more thc than tar and other harmful irritants. The primary benefit of a water bong is to cool the smoke, thats it.
The net result could lead a bong user to consume more cannabis to get more thc...bonging could ncrease your consumption and the amount of harmful elements you ingest.

Yes the study is from 1996, but its from a pro-cannabis movement, and there hasnt been a relavant new study that i could find since....
Contrary to popular impression, waterpipes don't necessarily protect smokers from harmful tars in marijuana smoke, according to a new study sponsored by MAPS and California NORML (National Organization for the Reform of Marijuana Laws). The reason is that waterpipes filter out more psychoactive THC than they do other tars, thereby requiring users to smoke more to reach their desired effect. The study does not rule out the possibility that waterpipes could have other benefits, such as filtering out gases, but it suggests that other methods, such as the use of high potency marijuana, vaporizers, or oral ingestion are needed to avoid harmful toxins in marijuana smoke.
'Bong water actually removes more thc than tar and other harmful irritants'. This suggests that at least some nasties are being removed, which only backs up the point I was making. I know smoking anything, water filtered or not, is going to do us harm, but if there's something you can do to minimize it then why not? Id like to know what they used in the study as a comparison to make the claim that bongs can make your intake increase. Compared to joints? IMO there must be a shit load more thc wasted in a joint. At least with a bong pretty much every bit of smoke gets inhaled. I wonder what percentage of a joint just burns away without ever reaching our lungs?
Just thought I'd add that I never use bongs so I'm not on the defensive, I'm just genuinely interested to know the facts.

Sensi, I don't have the info in front of me, but I recall reading you get about 60% of the thc by burning a joint...one of the least effective ingest methods there are.

Have you tried a little 'baking' as it were? Also you can 'smoke' an e-cig with some tincture/oil in it with only the 'ill' effects of vaping. i.e. - none
Bonus is you can do it anywhere.
I think the earlier comments on this thread about vaping are hilarious by the way. I love the way some people need to be 'told' something by a guy in a white coat before they can accept it.

Regarding the taste, you probaly hated tobacco taste when you first started smoking, the same with greengo can be apllied but if you as determinend as i am you will perservear and overcome the taste
I ordered mine of ebay 3 packs for £14, nearly all online headshops sell them
http://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/i.html?_trksi ... &_from=R40
Thanks for the info!
Will get a pack or two of the stuff, and try the lettuce trick to reduce the quick burning
I don't think this thread has turned to shit, all cordial debating in my books

I quit nicotine 3 years, 1 month and 3 days ago

Since when I have been consuming cannabis through a mixture of pipes/vapes, but also through smoking joints using various herbal tobaccos. A joint may be inefficient but sometimes it is just what you want, and with it being a massive pain currently for me to score in the UK, pure is just not a regular option.
I've tried several "herbal tobacco" products
"Mellow Yellow" - just don't really like the taste of this one
"Greengo" - on its own, dusty, scratchy and dry, though it burns well. Too well.
"Honeyrose" - bit of a pipe tobacco smell, can be a bit damp but the least offensive on its own imo.
Currently my ideal is to make a mix, about 70% Honeyrose and 30% Greengo, which burns better than Honeyrose on its own but is much nicer than Greengo solo in smell and taste imo. Obviously other people will have different preferred ratios, but I'd recommend trying it to anyone who has been on the Greengo alone.
This is the Honeyrose stuff, can get it from Holland&Barrett in the UK (they do "Special" & "Farmers", not much difference between them really)
