Indeed it is. I have ulcerative colitis, which as I'm sure you know is basically the same as crohns but isolated to the large intestine (lovely). When I was first diagnosed the consultant was surprised at the lack of visual scarring considering I'd had regular attacks over a two year period before being diagnosed. I asked him at the time if cannabis can affect it in any way and he said only in a positive way as it would stop me getting stressed and possibly triggering another attack.

A few years later research was published suggesting cannabis use reduces the signs of scarring in crohns/colitis. All made sense then

My two pennorth on your question: Utopia for indicas. It's a seven or eight minute walk from the station but well worth the extra shoe leather imo.
