Was my teacher right to say this?

Post by elliotr94 »

Might be in the wrong section, sorry if it is!

Anyway, I study Music Production at University and I was setting up a mixing desk as part of an exam today, at the end he mentioned that I smelt of weed and I should not come in if I do smell of it. Was he right to say this? I thought it was a little rude at first, I just enjoy having a nice smoke, apparently I smelt bad of it too and I only hit a few bottle bongs and a bowl in the morning haha

anyone had anything like this?

He sounds like a right cunt to me. It's none of his business so fuck him. Ideal retort would be "Like you've never had a smoke in yer life" opening him up to a denial which gives you the tap-in of "Well maybe you should and then you wouldnt be so fucken uptight."

What a bastard.

The only dickhead is the o.p who has no idea of real daily life he has to come on an Amsterdam coffee shop
Forum and ask a bunch of stoners what's right?

If your in the u.k you need to realise its not legal here, and if you piss that tutor off do you not think he can get you in plenty of shit? There is a few members not currently here who have been kicked out of top universitys coz of drugs, don't think yer immune and when they get out the klink they will be happy to tell you about it.

Be professional, simple, if he said that, what is an employer or client gonna say?

Keep us posted and if you shower then shower after weed and ffs clean yer teeth

I'm not saying I'm untouchable, I was just having a conversation with fellow smokers. Sorry if I pissed anyone off, it was weird.

Just because I smelt of it does not automatically mean I smoke it though, I could've been stood next to mates who were smoking.

You ain't pissed any1 off, I write how I talk, just telling you how it is, play it safe and you have a good future with plenty of wedge to chuck at bud as often as you like, play it wrong and its factory work, agency crap, and dole. Is it worth it? Just be careful enjoy uni and soon you will be in the real world enjoying life.

Oh yeah, real good. If you talk to the teacher like that then you'd likely be expelled. Is that what you want.

It's a good lesson to learn and I think the teacher was right.

You need to grow up. Mature people don't use attitudes or language like this.

He's doing a music production course not bloody quantum physics. What kind of fucken square is this lecturer? If I did a music production course I'd want a tutor who's a cross between Steve Albini and Danny off Withnail, not some snooty fucken grass  8)
