Anyway time to make an arse outta myself again. Do Auto's have a different taste? Like all of them earthy? From what I understand Auto's have been found and bred with from all over. From Canada, Russia, Mexico. Each would have it's own taste? wouldn't it?
Bong didn't you say the Purple cheese was good?
I don't like earthy flavours much. Only cause a lot of strains over here are sativas and have woody, earthy tones, coupled with coffees, pines and touches of eucalypt (i call it.)
Which Autoflower would be the best for the suns love? (outdoor)
Also is Autoflower weed usually cheaper?
Sure autohybrids have different smells and tastes, different sizes, different type of high/stone different potency, just like normal hybrids.
Many autos can be grown outside and many autohybrids nowadays can grow quite large.
You should go to seedbank web-sites and read the adverts for the different plants. Usually you get quite a good picture of what you might find from the seeds and what type of environment the plants like, about the smell and taste and about the potency and type of high/stone
Here's how they usually make new autohybrids, if you're interested. I'm not an expert, but i read about it:
Most of the Auto-hybrids are based on the original Lowryder or Lowryder #2 (which is Lowryder x Santa Maria ..if i remember that right), thou some seed companies (Dutch Passion is one)have developed their own Autos that are not based on Lowryder.
Lowryder is also a hybrid based on some ruderalis (mexican was one?).
How they make new Auto-hybrids is by finding a non-auto female plant which you then pollinate with autoflowering plant, like Lowryder male, to get an F1-generation
Then you grow out many of these F1 seeds and try to spot the ones that have the traits (trichome production, smell, taste, size, potency..but also leaning towards the auto-parent) you're looking for and cross these F1-female plants with the F1-males.
They say that this F1 generation don't generally show Autoflowering traits (..of course some might).
At some point, when you continue this for few generations, if you've done your work right, the seeds should start showing the autoflowering trait along with the traits from the original non-auto female.
Think i read that it takes around 5-6 generations of backcrossing to get 100% autoflowering seeds this way.
