Recycling roaches for bud

So I am stoned and flicking through the /trees imgur thing on reddit, and I came across this picture of a guy who had taken apart old roaches when desperate and made a joint out of leftover bud.

I was just wondering if anyone (probably in their younger days) had ever done this ? I haven't myself and I started smoking on and off when I was pretty damn young. Personally I don't roll bud all the way to the roach on my joints, because I never really like it when it gets there anyway.

Hell yeah. Unpleasant though it is, in times of desperation I'm not too proud to admit having done this once or twice. Some mates of mine used to keep all their roaches in a big tub and do it as a matter of course, for me it was only ever a total last resort though.

I work with homeless people and loads of them go "dimping" - picking up people's thrown away cigarette ends and using them to roll their own fags. Now that really is grim (and rather sad).

Oh yea, a roach joint was always good for a killer buzz. We would just lay them in a paper and roll them up. Can't say I've actually done it in 15 years, but we used to always do it.

Damn, I had to go way back to that 70's show called my teenage years...
My older cousin ( the one to blame for turning me on to weed ) used to save his roaches in a glass jar, probably still does. He said he used to use bottles, but sometimes the roaches would stick to the inside and was a pain in the ass to get out. Yup, I said it - wash out the bottle before using, sheesh. ...and the he smacked me upside my head and called me an asshole.
After sharing a bottle of Sangria with my GF ... I was going to cork it with a candle, then thought about the jar of roaches.
I had that bottle for several years, until one day said GF threw it out the window cause I had pissed her off.
No worries though, the bottle was empty...

way back, when I was a young man, we used to take the roach put it between two matches light it let it burn a little and then blow out the flame, and start snorting roach.
we used to also throw them right back into the bag, and the before mentioned generational joint,
I still can't roll with a filter, but am still ok with the old single paper hippie joint

I've seen ppl picking roaches once... Told them get a life and job!! And gave the homeless a few smokes - joke! I didn't say that :p I always help my loco local homies homeless peps ... I give them beer smokes and fresh food and fresh rolled swag shake

yup did it in the 70's … t'was like rainy day insurance - saving those roaches meant there would always be a joint when needed…. even if the supply went dry.
