Jam Band music in coffeshops?
Are there any coffeeshops or other places in the Dam that play "Jam Band" (Grateful Dead, Phish, etc.) music? I here mostly more house music or the like are played at coffeeshops, except for places like The Doors and Pink Floyd.
Listen to the river sing sweets songs to rock my soul...
jambands
Have never heard any jamband music in any coffeeshops. I think the best you can do is the classic rock at 420. Not the tired old formula Zep/Floyd/Doors/Stones classic rock, but a much better, more eclectic selection with lots of Zappa.

Gray Area might be your best bet, but it's so tiny getting a seat is a problem. Lucky Mothers used to be the the place I listened to a whole Dead show there once, sadly it's now closed. If you want Jam Bands check out Jam in the Dam at Melkweg in March.

Zappa @ 420. Awesome music, awesome surrounds, heavenly!
In a few coffeeshops I've had them put on CDs I've brought, so maybe take some grateful dead with ya & try your luck
