I realise this is an old post but I'm just trying to get all the info. I can on the volcano.

What about the green? I read somewhere that is should be kept moist, even to the extent of keeping a piece of apple in your stash so it doesn't dry out. Can anyone clarify?

imho the fresher the better, i tend to like mine to wet to roll. dry high end gear will also work but the fresher the better. dried compressed commercial weed will not work anywhere near as good as fresh buds.

In my experience it doesn't matter alot wheter its dry or moist for herb. It seems to vary more from strain to strain than by level of moisture......
