I got this from another web site. Thought I would pass it along cause *you* might need it someday. Peace.

If you live in the usa (or any number of other countries), this could be the most important (to you and your loved ones) video you might ever watch. I located it thru Cannabis Culture's web site. It's a bit long but definately worth the time and is a real eye-opener!
Keep yourself outta jail/prison and check it out. It's a must see for stoners.

Pass the info along to all your friends too. Be safe everyone. Know and excerise your rights, too. ;)

Yes it is.If they say they smell it,search, then find it,it's hard to say he didn't smell it.The threat to bring in the dogs if you refuse a search used to be just that,a threat, most of the time. There were not that many dogs around. Now days just about every police force has at least one. They can make you sit and wait.If the dogs come it's all over.Even when you know your rights,if you get caught breaking the law you still get arrested.Be cool and try not to get pulled over in the first place.Good luck.

No idea.I know my rights were guarenteed right here in Philadelphia,in the summer of 1776,by some very smart men.The first 10 admenments to the constitution also know as the Bill of Rights.

This seems to be a video version of an old high times article. "Do not consent" - "do not confess" - "do not run" - "do not be a dick" - "do not leave your bong on the coffee table" - "do not let your stoned buddies answer the door".

Still invaluable advice. I've pretty much got it committed to memory.

Thanks for posting the video - always good to remind Americans of their rights so they can fulfill their obligation to protect them. :)

I had a cop threaten me with a dog search after I refused consent. I told the cop if he brings in dogs I'm still going to refuse consent - he sent me on my way. LOL

Here's a good pitch to give a cop here in the states. When you refuse consent and the cop ask why just tell the cop that you cannot in good conscious give up your rights as fellow Americans are dying in wars to protect them. This may generate a dirty look from the cop as you pretty much grabbed him by the nuts. LOL

The UK have 'stop and search' anti terrorism laws so the police can pretty much do what they want. With a few ammendments to the 'Patriotism act' the americans will be doin the same.

I hear ya DC.

What do you think? Are the people in the western world moving away from being citizens (free people with rights) of their countries and becoming subjects (as in under control) of their governments?

Perhaps, the victory of the Democrats here in the states will move things more to the middle.

I think the the people of the western world stopped being citizens and even subjects a long time ago, customers, is probably a better word. This leaves everybody else as either 'potential' customers , or terrorists. The police in Northern Ireland have been using stop and search powers for decades, I remember when I was a kid in the 70s before entering Belfast city center every man, woman, child and vehicle was physically searched by the security forces. Now this might seem crazy, like living in a police state, but it was needed as the shops in Belfast were being blown to pieces on a regular basis along with some people. So, in order to protect people it seems you effectively have to take away some of their rights....even if the outcome isn't 100% that effective. The fact that today, the people taking away your rights might actually be ones creating the reason for doing so....and are blatantly making money in the process. Is what's making it a much more bitter pill for people to swallow. Suffices to say, the best advice for dealing with the police has already been said and it's simple 'Don't be a dick' whether ya know yer rights, or not.

As for the Democrats, hmmm...it's still only the best of a bad bunch, so is it really any better? Mind you, until any of us get of our butts and offer something better, can we really complain about it.
