Can anyone recommend any hotels in De Pijp or Old South? I'm heading out in February to look for long tem flats and this is an area I've never really visited before, thought I should check it out before I decide where I want to live.

Thanks in advance,

Jay

Hotel De Stadhouder on Stadhouderskade. Directly across the street from the Heineken Brewery, two doors down from the corner. Nice and quiet, has a lift, en suite baths available. Nothing special roomwise, simple clean, nice breakfast, cool coffee machine. Not sure on prices as this was dealt with by out 'tour company'.

Sarphati hotel and the Bicycle hotel are the 2 i have stayed at here. Both very average but the area is great to explore.

The Abba hotel is close to the Pijp and Albert de Cuyp--a very nice base from which to explore, I'd say. Good breakfast, too.

We stayed here once ,maybe 04 ...it was nice ,don't know whether they wrapped up the construction around the museum or not ...good breakfast ,elevator, on the connexxion circuit...tram noise...one of those smoker indifferent places back then ...
