Our crime is truly bad enough no need to make it far worse than it actually is.

If Prohibition was ended and the problem of addiction was addressed in a more intelligent manner the numbers may go down

If Washington DC would take care of America first and stop trying to run the whole world these numbers may go down according to their own statistics 12% of all documented American citizens live below the poverty level (12% does not include all of our homeless Americans or the undocumented illegals).

Most Americans look at a gun as insurance just like home and fire insurance something we hope we never need but we want to know that if it happens we can protect ourselves and our loved ones and that is the normal American mind set not the crap you see from hollywood or hyped up politicians or reporters trying to get in the spotlight.

Yes, I know that's an awful thing to say.

Not into guns to much, but collect edged weapons. Have nice variety of knives and swords, including two pre-WW1 Japanese officers swords. One is hand made by master sword maker, other is machine made. Will have to get some pics up sometime.

I live not even 20 minutes from toronto and usually there daily.and for that reason i have a 357 snub nose,and a classic deagle or "buster" as most people here call it.I have a permit for both,and usually have the 357 on me if in T.O at night.The deagle usually stays in the dashboard or at home.Also the deagle has only been used when visiting relatives in the boonies.Had to take down a young male black bear.The thing basically didnt waste time to charge.Luckily on four legs,it wasnt too hard to put 3 .44 cal slugs in it`s skull.I`m surprised the first shot didnt kill him instantly.He slowed down,the 2nd put him in a lying position,and the 3rd put him to sleep.

Never shot a bear before so don't know and you need a bear tag. I don't go hunting much and one shot in the air will drive most things away. We shoot this with a camera and this just a cow.

I can't speak for the laws in other states but in Alaska all parts of the bear in a self defence kill become the property of the state of AK and you are required by law to salvage the pelt ,claws and skull and turn them into AK Fish and Game Dept.

It is also a good ides to watch out for fresh signs of bear activity.
Outdoorsmen should recognize the difference between black bear and grizzly bear dung.
Black bear dung is smaller and contains lots of berries and squirl fur.
Grizzly bear dung contains lots of small bells and smells like pepper

Most of my Bear encounters have ended with me yelling at the bear and the bear rinning away. I have only ran away once from a bear I almost bumped into it. Have never been so scared not even getting robbed at gun point scared me that much. The nastyest things I run in to is a Badger or Wofereen they will attack bears.
