Book your rooms now. Couldn't get a double at Rookies, but found a very nice apartment on Recht Boomsloot from 4/19 to 4/23 for only 400 euros. Reviews were very good and they let you smoke herb in the studio. Dam, I still have my trip in Dec. first before the 2007 4/20. I LOVE this place. AzLaker 8)

After this years 4/20 meet, and having such a good time, I plan on being there next year. Has anyone given any thought to renting a large, spacious luxury type apt. for several people and splitting the costs? Just a thought. Was thinking that a big 3-4 bedroom apt. for Thursday thru Sunday would be good. This way everyone has some privacy and not break the bank at the same time. I was thinking this might possibly be cheaper than a hotel room for 4 nights. Some people here and from channels already know one another so maybe some folks would be interested. Not sure what a nice large place would run; but I am going to check into it. What does everyone think of this idea? Any thoughts?

The renting of an apartment for groups of people is an excellent idea, just like a home from home. Could save a lot of money by going to the supermarkets for food (and drink) instead of eating and drinking out in the more expensive restaurants.

Don't know how easy it would be to organise something like that among the forum members who are all from different areas of the world. Would be tough trying to get everyone together at first.

Still a good idea and who knows maybe some people will actually get it together to get an apartment booked. I say best of luck to you.

Hey BluMing, I think thats a cool idea.

My biggest worrie (esp after Az posted about booking early) is my accomadation.

I'm open to any good priced hotel/appartment recomendation and if it means sharing a house/appartment with some fellow members/tokers... then thats even better.

Obviously, we each need our privacy but man, this could be heaven.

BluMing: can you keep me posted on what you find and possibly where you look as I too will investigate further.

*EDIT* The poll shows 10 "yes" votes. I might be traveling alone but do have mates that want to visit. Personally, I'de rather visit with my friends on a different date and save 4:20 to share with you lot

So, how many like the idea of a share and would like to be counted in?

Blu, sounds like a real good idea. When my group went May 2-11th. we rented a beautiful apartment and split the cost 6 ways. Made things alot cheaper. There will be at least 4 in next years trip.

I've now got a provisional booking for the Rookies/Uptown Hotel for the 4/20 weekend (4 nights Thursday - Sunday).

The Rookies surely must be among the cheapest hotels with private facilities/safe box in the room etc.

Hopefully I'll still be able to make the booking by the time 4/20 next year comes around. If I'm gonna be struggling to make it then I will cancel the reservation in plenty of time before my arrival date in the hotel and post it on here so then maybe someone on this forum who can't get a room will be able to take advantage.

There is no reason (at the moment) to suggest that I will not be in Amsterdam on the dates shown.

I reckon it would really add to the whole experience staying in an apartment with a load of members. Count me in!!

The apartment idea sounds great. I'm probably going to be alone on that trip so why the hell not.
18square feet and I'm good.

I'm liking the appartment idea - as I will most likely also be travelling solo, this will solve some problems. I would be after the cheapest option though so if it works out cheaper than a single hotel room for the same length of time, then count me in!!
