Late May in Amsterdam

So, we finally did it, we took the plunge and bought tickets to Amsterdam for late May. Its something my partner and I have been talking about for almost a year now, and we didn't think we'd get to go, but we found a mega great deal on flights, and well....You know the rest! This will be my third trip there, and my partners first. I must say, a big part of my excitement is taking him to this fantastic city!

We have reserved an apartment on Noordermarkt, in what I think is a perfect spot for us.

I know Barny's is a close shop, but I'm a firm believer that you really only need to experience Barny's once or twice on a trip. That being said, can anyone tell me about how long it takes to walk from Noordermarkt to the Rokerij II? By looking at the map, I'd say not long (I was staying in a completely different area of the city last time - in 03 - and have no reference to this distance except a hazy stoned memory)

Also, any other information about this area or close shops would be fantastic....Resturants, markets, anything at all!

Thanks!

You are only a few minutes walk from Rokerij II. Take a look at the Centrum map and you will see quite a few good shops within easy walking distance from Noordermarkt, including Amnesia and Grey area. Enjoy your stay.

Thanks BB!

I really love Rokerij II, and I would love for this to be our first stop.

I hear there is a nice little cafe called "Finch Cafe" close to where I am staying as well. Does anyone have any information on this cafe?
