I'll be going to Adam this spring break with my family (little bro included). How receptive are they to minors? If I buy some can I give it to him to light up and can we chill in the coffee shop?

They're very very strict (well most places) If you don't have ID, you're not even allowed in... You could always buy some, and smoke it somewhere else (don't smoke too blatently in public though, find a quiet spot somewhere!) I dunno how young your bro is, but go easy man, don't wanna blow him away with some Grade A dutch bud if he's never smoked before!

Would a fake id be viable for him? What do they do if they catch you with a fake? I would guess they don't know what a u.s. id looks like though.

I dunno, I've always just used my driving license, if he looks young though I don't think you'd get away with it. I'd say buying some weed and smoking somewhere else is ya best bet, how old is ya bro? There's some smoker friendly bars, and you only have to be 16 to drink (18 for spirits) so you'd probably be fine there.

Now.....DO NOT BRING A MINOR INTO A COFFESHOP.
If a minor is found in coffeshop (police do random checks) the shop can and often does lose it liscense!!!! The random worker at a coffeshop might be be able to tell a fake from legit ID but the police can and will. Also many of the coffeshops now require patrons to present a PASSPORT as ID, probably because of so many fake id weilding tourist risking them their entire business.

Your best bet would be leave you bro outside (or wherever, just no in the shop) grab some goods, roll a fattie or ten, and take a leisurely stoll in the park or head to your hotel and blaze out the bro.

Please don't take this the wrong way but everytime a minor goes into a coffeshop they risk losing that shop for the rest of us. Not cool.

Good point Mazdog.... On the same theme, get some fake ID and go to La Canna + Grasshopper, then shop yourself in...those two don't deserve licences!

I'll bite the bullet here. I searched around for a rules section, but couldn't find one, so I'm going to assume minors are allowed on these forums (others I go to require 18+). I've I'm wrong just ban me. I'd still like an answer though.

So I wasn't entirely honest with my first post. I am the little brother. And my older sister isn't going on the trip... I chose this trip, in retrospect I should have suggested my senior spring break, but too late for that. I am going 19th of March. I will be 16 when I am in A-dam. I definitely don't look my age though, sadly, that would be that I look younger . So I've been trying to think of a way to get into a shop. Sadly, that prospect looks darker and darker everyday. It's quite sad that my sister isn't going on the trip, I really wish should have gone, that'd make this a lot easier. As it stands, she said she talked to my parents, and they'll let me smoke. But I'd rather not have to have my mom buy me weed, and give it to me under a bridge? Haha sketchy much? Anyways,I was just hoping for a really chill environment, I guess that won't be happening. Damn. Thoughts/comments?

P.S. No I don't want to get a shop closed down, I wouldn't want to ruin it for anyone else.

sounds like you should head down to Mexico instead buddy......you can score herb in Mexico no prob and also head to any local pharmacy and load up on pills, good to go.

You are gonna be screwed in the Dam.....they are crackin down on the shops more and more all the time. Lots of people say they never get carded (i only did once i think) but also hear of guys that are well into their 30's-40's getting carded soooooo, mom under the bridge is probably what you are lookin at.

last trip me and my friends were all 18, only 1 shop we went in didnt ID us the second we walked in the door

ive been going since ive been 18, almost always get I.D'd, and im expecting to get the same come feb when i'll be in my early 20's

im sure shit will be ok dude, just play it cool and dont hang out in any shops... if u do get into a shop, buy ur gear and get the hell out...


im not trying to promote anyone underage going into coffeeshops, i just dont want to burst this kids bubble... when i was 16 and in a-dam for the first time, i managed, but then again i had a beard.. lol

play it cool and dont risk it for others, and dont buy off the street, u will most likely get jacked first.

Haha, it's okay Cheese, the bubble is already burst. But I'd rather not risk getting a store closed down. I'd rather have some left 10 years from now.
