Say hey! I'll make sure I meet up with whomever frequents Voyager's for your morning bake sessions. Do we have any poker players out there who wanna hit the Casino during my stay? I'll be doin' it, but playin' with at least one friendly face is always more pleasant.

One other question....I've heard a jam band/hippie scene doesn't exist there....is this true? ANY place to just chill to some trippy hippie sounds?

Have a happy!

Don't know about the hippie scene nor do I gamble at casinos but I'm up for a game of Texas Hold'em. I hope samuraiwriter, danny, and stan are up for it.
Travel safe and we'll see you there.

Well as much as a hippie scene, not so much anymore.
To say that is not so true either, i myself consider myself a hippie
but don't look like one.
Again it's only my opinion that looks shouldn't mean anything in the 2000's
anyway, it's in everyone heart :D .
I visited Amsterdam now 4 times, and the last time was during the cup.
I personally think that sure times have changed, but the people i meet
at the cup would definitely fit the profile of the hippie movement.
Free of prejudices and always willing to shake your hand, welcome you
to Amsterdam and share some smoke with anyone who comes along.
I could write much more about this, i was actually thinking these thoughts
while there the last time.
Sooooo, don't worry, most people you will meet will be on the
same wave length as you ( Us here on the forum ).

As for gambling.. sorry dude i prefer not to gamble, have some family
members that have really problems with it.
Wish you loots of fun though :D

See you at voyagers, Peace

Thanks again for the info trashcanman. I have no doubt that the vibe will be correct, I was just hoping that someone knew of a bar/whatever that happens to play some sweet jams, I know the reigning music is hardcore metal and EDM.....I'll deal with the metal....can't handle unt ta unt ta unt ta too long anymore...too old. lol.

Even somewhere that's classic rock, Zep, Who, etc...?

There's a smoker friendly bar on spuistraat called doors palace which (as the name suggests) pretty much only play the doors. Buy something to smoke elsewhere and go sit in there with a beer and a spliff
