Coffeeshop "The Bulldog" (Leidensplein), "Rookies Bar" and "Get down on it" don´t have
to close

The reason is that the distances between the shops and schools was wrong metered. The Rookies Bar for example is 252 meters away from the next school... so if the Rookies Bar would be 2 meters closer to the school they would have to close

Seriously though. Good news when a coffee shop does not have to close. Whichever ever shop it might be.
Remember bad shops can always get better. Good ones can only get worse.

Rookies is a decent place, glad it has been saved.

Get Down To It is also a useful space if you are in town with a sizeable group, huge space down there with several pool tables etc. The weed is pretty shit and its definitely not a "smoke your own" sort of place, but as a space it does serve a function.

No interest in the Bulldog whatsoever.

Free Phil Spector's simple solution to this conundrum: Buy a gram (or half if they do it) of the cheapest weed they sell and then smoke yer own anyway

I remember la canna from 2002.... my second trip to amsterdam.
I tried to find it again and it was no more.
They had a smart shop next door.... I remember a couple buying two carrier bags worth of truffles and mushrooms like 5 or 6 boxes a bag.
They must of tripped their nuts off

When did they shut and why?

i bet now the owner of Rookies is pissed he sold the hotel
