Going into coffeeshops with a temporary passport?

Hello!
I am a Swedish guy who's gonna visit Amsterdam for the first time the 27th with my girlfriend. Being a descendant of vikings, i drank way too much alcohol last night and managed to loose my passport.
Im not sure if i will be able to get a new one in time for the trip, so the only option is to get a temporary passport at the police in Sweden. I don't know if you have it in the netherlands, but it's basically a passport that only can be used for one trip.
Will that suffice as an ID when visiting coffeeshops? I would be so bummered if i can't get in anywhere.
I'm looking forward to visit amsterdam, I'm pretty sure me and my gf will have a great time!

do you have an EU driving license? Wait. Is Sweden even in the EU?
never mind

good question. not sure what the law is on temp ID's but coffee shops must follow the law or face being closed down so you might want to check and check carefully.

It should be no problem. 3 years ago I lost my ID card, too. I had a temporary passport
and it was no problem... but it was not in Amsterdam... it was in Maastricht. In Maastricht they scan the ID cards to see if it´s faked or something... and it worked with my temporary ID
If the temporary passport looks official it will be no problem... anyway only a few shops ask everytime for ID
Have a nice time in Amsterdam

This. Also, if a document is good enough for Dutch Immigration then it's likely good enough for a coffeeshop! If you look v young it might be worth checking ahead with specific shops....

A temp passport is a passport.
End.

I have never been ID'd in a CS - ever. Have visited Amsterdam about 25 times in the last 6 years and a few times in the early 90s. Last visit was November 2013. Am I doing something terribly wrong or am I just old? 48 years and counting...
The OP is concerned about being "bummered". I'll just say; lube up and bend over.
('Bummer' - somewhat old fashioned English slang for a homosexual. And Americans think it's funny when I go off to buy 'fags'...)
