Just got back from a quick 3 day trip to Mokum with my girlfriend and whilst most of our time was taken up with meetings and various dull stuff we still got some smoking done so here’s just a quick report of what I sampled :

The Coin – Kushage Sativa – E10
Nice sativa high with quite an earthy flavour, not too powerful, a nice first smoke.

Hunters – Bubblegum – E7
A bargain in my opinion, great flavour and a nice relaxed buzz, perfect for unwinding at the end of the day without knocking yourself out.

Amnesia – Bio Sage – E11
Went in looking for some NYCD but it didn’t look like a good batch so asked for a mid strength sativa as we still had quite a lot to get done that afternoon, all I can say is I’m glad I only asked for mid strength! This one took us by surprise and nearly knocked us on our ass. Very heady high.

Grey Area - Matanuska Tundra - E10
I’d heard a lot about this strain and was really looking forward to trying it, unfortunately it really didn’t meet my expectations, first time I’ve ever been disappointed with one of Grey Area’s strains, I think I’ll stick to their sativas in the future.

Nes - Nespolm - E6
Nice value hash, good taste and nice relaxed buzz, went well with a couple of beers.

Nes – Weed Of The Week - E7
A 70% sativa, not sure but I think it was called Vapor, could well be wring though, whatever it was called it was a really nice smoke, well cured and good flavour. Personally I love the mostly sativa strains like these, just enough body stone with a nice heady high that’s not too much of a brain twister, at E7 this was probably the best bargain of our trip and had we been staying in town any longer we’d definitely of picked up another couple of grams.

Barneys lounge – NYCD - E12
Last smoke of the trip and definitely my personal favourite. I’m a big fan of NYCD strains especially when they’ve got that citrus flavour and smell. A really nice head high but not too strong meaning you can still function if you need to.

Other coffeeshops visited :

Paradox – Great locals coffeeshop in the Jordaan, we always make the effort to visit for the vegeburgers.

Rusland – First time I’d been in here and really liked it. Didn’t buy anything but the menu looked good. will definitely visit again in Feb.

Also gotta mention that we had a fantastic meal at Pacifico, a Mexican restaurant on Warmoestraat. More expensive than a lot of Mexican restaurants in the city but when we got our food we realised why, best fajitas I’ve had in a long long time and worth every Euro! :D

No pics I'm afraid, I tried taking some pics of the weed but can't get the focus sorted for detailed images, need to have a play with it.

I always carry a camera with me but I have so many pics of Amsterdam from previous trips it takes something out of the ordinary to get me reaching for it.

Thanks for the report JK - Rusland...now that brings back memories from many moons ago...had one of the longest non-eventful games of chess ever in my life there....I can't play chess when I'm real stoned...my analytical skills become far to complicated

How's the appartment hunt going and the job search?

I'm still getting to the bottom of the sofi number, I've read in quite a few places that it is quick and easy to get, but then I've heard from some sources that it can take upto a month to get, pretty confusing.

I'll keep you guys updated with my progress...

I think its easy (not necessarily quick) if you meet the requirements, which are completely different for UK residents than for us Americans.
