My friend had booked a trip for his 'ex' to take her to Amsterdam as she had never been before, and after a couple of things going wrong and a lot of mess, they ended up splitting up. So he changed the names on the flights and got the hotel room changed over and told me (without choice, but I mean, who would ever say no?') that I was coming to Amsterdam in March....for free!
So with a quick text to the boss, time off work was booked and I let myself start to get excited for the next 9 weeks til we go, but then the inevitable happens, and he is now back with his girlfriend and he has paid again to bring her with us. Now I have no problem with this at all, apart from the fact that i'll now be a total spare wheel on this trip as she doesn't smoke and he will want to take her to museums etc. that we've done before and all I really want to do is sit and put myself in a coma smoking the finest of what the 'dam has to offer.
So my question is this, where should I go? What should I do? Anyone in town?
I know my way around and i'm comfortable being on my own so fire away
